Roseda Steak Burgers Contest!

Alrighty people, remember I told you that I recently got a few SteakBurgers sent to me by the wonderful folks at Roseda Beef. We tried them and we loved them and I did a little review for them here, then they thought that it would be a great idea to share their burgers with one of YOU.

That's right, I'm going to do a little contest and since it's summer time and with the 4th of July just around the corner, I need you to leave me a comment with one of your favorite grilling recipes, it can be a family favorite or a true and tried one or just one that you're planning to make for your family soon. Leave me the recipe, your name and a way to contact you. Due to the perishable nature of the prize, this contest is open to US residents only!

The winner will get a Summer Cookout Kit from Roseda including:

  • 20 Steakburgers and buns to share with your friends and family;
  • A Roseda spatula;
  • A Meat 101 kit, packed with info and tips on choosing and cooking the best cuts of meat for your taste.

How cool is that???????? So again, a huge thank you to Meghan and the rest of the people at Roseda. I will announce a winner on Monday the 7th of July.

Good Luck Everyone!

Pork Tenderloin

1 Pork Tenderloin- you know- the round-log like roll
Brianna's Real French Vinegrette Dressing

Marinate the pork for 4 hours and then grill till done. We seared it at a high heat and then lowered the temp till it reached the desired doneness.

We love chopping up a fresh pineapple and putting some pineapple rings on the grill. Grilling it turns the pineapple sweeter. I like how pretty it looks with the grill marks too :)

I like to go real simple with grilling chicken breasts on our gas grill. I brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and then sprinkle with lemon pepper. It is moist and tender every time. It is also delicious the next day sliced thin over salad greens! Double bonus =)

I love to just make regular hamburgers on the grill, garlic salt, johnny's season salt and grill. Our other fave would be rump roast in the crock pot.

Here's one of our favorites:

Teriyaki Chicken
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup dry cooking sherry
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 garlic clove, minced
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Combine oil, soy sauce, dry sherry, ginger and garlic in large zip lock bag. Place chicken in bag, removing air from bag and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
When ready to cook, drain marinade from meat and grill.

I love grilling shrimp and veggie kabobs! Before putting them on the skewers, I mix everything in a bowl with olive oil and garlic salt. Thread on the skewers, grill, and serve over rice or couscous. Delish!

We have a family birthday tradition to grill pizzas every summer. We use our favorite pizza dough recipe (even store bought works great!), place it on a smokin' hot grill for about 15 minutes, then place all your toppings on and cover the grill. Let the toppings warm through and the cheeses melt (about 10 minutes). Some of our favorite toppings are fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, salmon, and chorizo sausage....although not all together :)

I'm excited to try these burgers!!!

My favorite would be just simple pork or beef ribs. No seasoning, not anything added just the flavor of the meat from grilling. Oh so good to eat with baked beans and grilled corn. A surprise grill find for me was to grill corn with mayo. Just spread on the corn then grill, it tastes wonderful.
I think the exact recipe is on America's Test Kitchen site or maybe BBQ U.

Ohh.. Great Thanks for hosting this..

Well, My husband and I sort of do this together.. We take this HUGE slab of spare ribs or baby back ribs.. We rub with Watkins BBQ rub or any rub we have and then we pour country bob's sauce over it.. We marinade that for about an hour, then we put it on the grill and he cuts up a vidalia oinion and puts the slices on top and then grills it and keeps basting it until it looks so sticky and good.. It's wonderful!

Two things we like to do on the grill that aren't mainstream are grilled fresh pineapple and grilled portobella mushrooms. The pineapple is super simple - just buy a whole pineapple, core, cut in large slices and then mix up the topping - brown sugar with some cinnamon (to taste), then add enough lime juice to make a paste. Delicious! We also like portobella mushrooms that we marinate in balsamic vinegar, olive oil and spices (I usually use basil, oregano and garlic). We usually do these as a side dish or veggie to go with a grilled meat. Yummy!

Have a wonderful day :)

My favorite thing on the grill is a ribeye sprinkled with fresh ground pepper and a bit of table salt.

My second favorite is a pork tenderloin sprinkled with southwest seasoning from pampered chef.

I'm of the simple is best philosophy when it comes to grilling.

We love to grill round steak with a little Season All and garlic powder for seasoning. Simple, yet juicy and flavorful and we can grill it last minute without having to marinate it overnight.

I love to slice in half squash, onions, peppers and cherry tomatoes and grill them after marinating in a balsamic vinegrette. along with chicken breasts. I put a garlic bulb in some foil and throw that on. Chop that up and put in a bowl, squeeze the garlic into it and mix. Serve with the chicken.

My DH is in charge of the grill. He makes Monster Burgers. There are no set measurements. You mix ground beef, shredded cheese, onion soup mix, egg and bbq sauce.
