The Simple Woman's Daybook - July 14th

Hi everyone, come on in and see what's in my daybook!

If you want to join in, just got visit Peggy over at The Simple Woman, read the guidelines here and then add your name to Mr Linky. There are so many other participants sharing their day, I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through them :)

FOR TODAY

Outside my Window
...cloudy, dreary skies which is just wonderful here in Arizona. We've been getting rain for the past 3 days and it feels great.

I am thinking...that I will never again eat a bowl of chili at 11pm, I still feel sick to my stomach

I am thankful for...payday tomorrow, I hate the almost bare cupboards thing, which only seems to happen in the summer when the kids are out of school. Seriously, do they need to eat that much? LOL

From the kitchen...the best Orange Cake ever!

I am creating...prim stitchery projects to hang on the wall.

I am going...to take it easy today and hope my stomach starts feeling better.

I am wearing...khaki capris and a orange tank top

I am reading...Springwater Wedding by Linda Lael Miller

I am hoping...to get all the laundry ironed and put away, this morning.

I am hearing...the kids playing in the living room, they're slamming things with a plastic hammer and singing "george of the jungle" *teehee*

Around the house...sleeping pugs, unmade beds, hyper kids...just the usual first thing in the morning sight

One of my favorite things...taking a drive through the countryside

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...Grocery shopping in the morning and thursday we have the Library Reading Program, last week the kids got to enjoy some animals from the Wildlife World Zoo and this week there's a book reading by a local author and a craft.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...sunset in Arizona, they are just breathtaking!

I had the last of the Orange Cake for breafast this weekend. I figured it had orange juice in it and some eggs it is a perfect breakfast. I loved that cake.

Thanks for coming by to visit me. I have just come home exhausted after running all my errands. The heat makes me so tired. I bought a wrap for lunch and I wish I hadn't eaten it becuase I'm afraid it was a little off. I'm commiserating with you and your chili.
We seem to have reading tastes in common.

Hey Sandra,

I am so sorry the "chillie" put a bad taste in your mouth/stomach. What a horrible experience. All I have to say is, you can come over anytime and iron and put away my laundry...heee, but first you have to wash in...Heee!! J/K!

Love your picture you posted, I hope you get your cupboards filled soon, sound familiar with my kids home too.

Come over and see some pictures I Posted...

Love,
Jeannene

Very nice, Sandra. I've seen this for weeks and weeks and keep promising myself I'm going to do it. I love everything about it but somehow, Mondays seem to get completely away from me.

Congratulations on your award - you deserve it. And I'm tickled that you and Michelle got to meet each other. I just came from her blog and saw that you'd met at a mall. How fun, for both of you.
