Happy Homemaker Monday #46

Good morning friends, hope today finds you in a good mood.  I know it's Monday and all, but sometimes we have to forget that initial disdain we get for the beginning of the week and just push through.  Right?  LOL

The Weather:::
Still in the 80's and quite frankly, I'm so over it and so sick of it that I just don't even know what to say anymore.  Whatever!

Right now I am:
I'm enjoying my coffee, and about to do some online shopping for Christmas.

Thinking:
That I have a lot to get done today.  I'm sort of making mental lists of the to do's.

On my reading pile:::
Still reading Livvie's Song by Sharlene MacLaren.

On my tv:::
No clue.  Most of the shows I watch are on Mid Season break.

On the menu for this week:::

Monday - Pizza in a pot
Tuesday - BBQ Ribs, Fries, Fried Okra
Wednesday - Spinach Alfredo Lasagna
Thursday -  Ranch Tilapia w/ white rice and peas
Friday - Slow Cooker Creamy Tarragon Chicken w/ rice
Saturday - Slow Cooker Pork Chops w/ scalloped potatoes
Sunday -Traditional Calzone

On my to do list:::
Homeschooling
Baking the last of the Christmas gifts
Preparing boxes to ship out
Homemaking (laundry, dishes, mopping floors, bedrooms)

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Have put the quilt on the backburner as I forge straight ahead with the last of the gift making.
Have a Doctor Who Mug cozie to finish for my daughter, a Creeper Mug Cozie to make for my son.
Also making my son a Creeper scarf, and a Tardis stuffed toy for my daughter.

Homemaking Tips:::
This tip is coming to you through one of my blog readers, and I wish I could just remember exactly who it was that gave me this tip last week or the one before.  Remember when I mentioned that I couldn't find the right dishwasher detergent and that the dishes never came out clean?   I also have really hard water and it would leave a nasty film on everything, meaning that I would have to rewash the dishes by hand after running them in the washer.

Anyway, someone told me to grab Lemi-Shine and add it to my dishwasher detergent because it would do the trick.  MY WORD does it ever.  I tried it last night for the first time and I haven't had dishes that clean in a long long time.  So thank you to the lady that left me the tip, I really appreciate it :)

Looking around the house:::
I have my Portuguese TV on and am listening to the news.  Loving the tree lights, they give the living room such a cozy feeling. Have a few dishes in the sink in hot soapy water and soon will have to transfer them to the dishwasher.

From the camera:::
Christmas Tree Lot

On my prayer list:::
Praying for so many, too many to list.

Bible verse, Devotional:::
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.
1 John 5:1

I love your homemaking tip and cannot wait to try it. I have lip marks on my glasses thanks to our excessive use of chapstick. Read a tip to rub with salt and water, and they looked really clean, but then the prints came back. Grr.

That tarragon chicken sounds delicious! I hope you'll share the recipe :-) Also -- I'm going to have to look for that Lemi-Shine. Our well water is so hard... ugh. I need all the help I can get.

Never heard of Lemi-Shine ... I'm just afraid we'll never find it here in Middle-of-No-Where, Missouri. :(

Love the new winter HHM picture! :) Have a GREAT week.
