Back in time

It's Sunday evening and I'm just now getting back on the computer.  I disconnected on Friday night and have enjoyed a full weekend of no internet, it feels great.

Saturday morning we headed to one of our favorite places for some family fun.  We go every single year and never tire.

The food is not that great and it's pretty expensive, but there's so much to see and do that, that aspect doesn't put a damper on the rest.

Here are some pictures from the Arizona Renaissance Festival, for the rest, you can check out my album on Flickr.

Every time he was at the top, he would shout "this is so scary but so much fun"

It was a great day, but we left around 3pm, and the traffic was already getting crazy.

The drive home is always really pretty while we are in the Apache Junction area and driving along the Superstition Mountains.

I was happy to be home though, I'm a homebody and no matter how much I may enjoy going somewhere, there's nothing like returning home at the end of the day, slipping into my comfy slippers and relaxing.

But, I actually came home, changed into some flip flops, grabbed my grocery list and headed to the commissary.  It was the best time to go shopping, it was quiet, not many shoppers around and as always the day after payday, the prices have been dropped tremendously, so groceries for two weeks came to about $160, not bad at all.

This morning we did our usual track, I ran 5 laps and was not out of breath at all.  Came home and showered, had a quick lunch and we went back out for our walk with the pugs.

And then I pigged out the rest of the day.  Oh goodness, I've been so very good this past week but today, threw all caution to the wind and have just been eating whatever I felt like, and I have to say that I'm so full and feeling so yucky right now that I don't understand how I've ever eaten this way.

Back to the healthy eating and counting calories tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it.

Hope you've all had a great weekend :)

I agree. It always nice to come home! We went to our local Renaissance Festival this past summer. It was okay. A lot of the acts had a lot of vulgarness in them. It went over the younger two's heads but our teenage son got the innuendos, I'm sure. And because of that, we won't be going back again this summer. There were some fun parts though, like the jousting tournament.

Looks like you had an awesome time! When we lived in Illinois we lived near a Renaissance Fair and we never went to it. Seeing your photos makes me sorry we never did. I love your mountains!
