Today......

Sometimes this is how homeschooling goes for the 8th grader.

And I have to say, if I could have been homeschooled and enjoyed yummy snacks while doing school, I would have been thrilled.

He does not like Math....not one single bit. But here he is concentrating on metric units of measurement.

While they work, I sit nearby. I give them instruction when needed and then while they complete their problems, I work on my crochet.

As I was writing up my Happy Homemaker Monday post, and saying that I didn't know what to do with crochet, an idea popped into mind for an Easter Decoration. I'm so excited, can't wait to finish it tomorrow. Have a few more colored pieces to make tonight and then put it all together tomorrow to show you :)

Also spent a little time looking through some old cookbooks I have. I think one of the things I most enjoy about them are the stories, the tips and the pictures.

This specific one is divided into the different months of the year, it's fascinating to read :)

And now it's dinner time, so I better skidaddle on out. Nothing fancy, just some Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, which is always loved in this home.

Have yourselves a blessed night and thank you for stopping by :)

Would love to look through your cookbooks! Which one is the month by month one? I have one but it is not that one. Love old cookbooks- no hard to find ingredients! Angela

Oh, the joys of homeschooling! I know what you mean. Sometimes I have to remind my kiddos of how good they have it. They've never attended traditional school, so they have no idea how good they have it. I would have loved to have been homeschooled! Can't wait to see your Easter project. And I really admire that placemat with the silverware pocket. Did you make it?

I can't wait to see what you are making, Sandra - it looks wonderful. I am so sorry that I didn't homeschool my kids - especially the youngest one. You are doing exactly what you need to do for your kids and they will flourish because of the love and care you put into their schooling.

Love your post as usual! Just wanted to let you know that I've been drinking the fat burst water the last few days. I drink way too many calories a day in iced tea/lemonades/soda, etc. I've been wanting to drink more water and this water is delicious!! And I'm feeling good. Thanks for posting about it.

I just love your blog :) I am also homeschooling an 8th grader (and a 1st grader but that one is easy) I always tell the 8th grader, when he starts to complain, that he is so blessed to not have to sit in a school for hours. He loves having his free time when school is done :)

I homeschool my 12 year old and I agree. I would have loved to have been homeschooled! Of course I would have still hated math too! ;)
