{ Bowling we go }

Bowling fun

I am a huge believer in doing fun activities with the kids, that don't break the bank.   If you look, you can always find something to do that is either free or very inexpensive, and the kids will love you for it.

We are trying to cram as much fun as we can into the last month of summer, before school starts up.

My niece and nephew come to my house twice a week, during the summer, and everyday day during the school year for homeschooling.

Bowling fun

Sometimes we stay home, just hang out, or swim in the pool...but there are days that we want to do something different.

Our local base bowling alley has a special all summer through, $1 for shoe rental and $1 per game.  I love it, it's cheap and it's a fun hour or two at the bowling alley.

Bowling fun

We eat before we go bowling, that way the only thing we really need to get there are fountain drinks for $1.50. Perfect!!

The best part for me is watching the kids having fun and seeing the crazy things that happen when you get 6 people together for bowling.

Bowling fun

We had one kid get his thumb stuck in a ball, one drop the ball behind as they went in to bowl, one trip and almost fall flat on his face and lots and lots of gutter balls.

Bowling fun

And lots and lots of laughs and tummy aches from laughing so hard.

Bowling fun

Cousin love which always warms my heart :)

Bowling fun

Just plain ol' fun, a good time spent out of the house and by the time we return home, everyone is pooped out and on the couches relaxing.

Bowling fun

My favorite way of passing an afternoon.  Friday night????  A big sleepover because the kids all want to play games together on their laptops.

I'm sure there will be pizza and soda and chips, staying up way past their bedtime and lots and lots of belly laughs.

Now I need to run out and take my daughter to Tae Kwon Do....running late....oops.

What fun! I haven't been bowling in ages.

Your niece looks like she could be your daughter.

Jasmine is growing up into a beautiful young lady. She's not a little girl anymore.

Have a great day ~ FlowerLady

I agree with the above comment, your niece looks so much like you. My kids are involved in the summer reading club at our library and one of the prizes they received was a free bowling pass. We'll have to go this year. I like bowling, although I'm not very good.

Lots of fun. This gives me a great idea - maybe I will take my son bowling before the summer ends. He used to enjoy it when he was little, but we haven't been in a long time!

I love bowling and haven't done it in ages. Will have to get that going for the fall sometime!

How fun! I have bowling photos to share, too! We went last time David was home :-)

We did this recently when Hubs brother and family came to visit us for the first time ever (now that the military doesn't have us so far away). It was a blast.

My parents were always in these military bowling leagues when I was growing up so I have lots of fun memories--even though I am terrible at bowling. I'm always the one with the smallest score and biggest smile. Lol
