Happy Homemaker Monday - 10/03/2016

Good morning everyone.  I'm sorry this is going up a little later than usual, I couldn't get Blogger to open for me this morning, I'm not quite sure what the issue was but the page was just hanging.

Seems to be working fine now, so I'm going to try and get this up as fast as I can in case it decides to mess up again.

On the weather front:::
The temperatures have cooled down and I'm absolutely loving it.  Cool and crisp mornings and nights, warm afternoons, I do believe it may be my favorite kind of weather ;)

On my bedside table:::
Bible and devotionals
Tv control
Kleenex

On my TV:::
Victoria - If haven't been watching this one, you don't know what you're missing.  Jenna Coleman (Clara from Doctor Who) is brilliant as Queen Victoria.  You can watch online here.
The Voice Portugal
Portuguese Soaps
Vlogs
60 Days In
Paranormal Witness
Ghost Hunters

Thinking and pondering::::
On what is coming our way.  Today is my husband's first official day at home, unemployed.  He has put in for so many jobs the past month but is waiting to hear something back.  Financially we are able to pay bills until the end of this month, from November on we have no idea.  I know God has it under control and HE knows what is coming, as well as seeing us through this rough patch.  I can't help but wonder what is coming or what is going to happen, is it weird that in a way I'm kind of excited to see what my husband's next job is and what we will be doing?
I know the norm is to freak out and worry, and I won't say I'm not a little worried, I am, but I'm more positive and calm than anything else.  Still, prayers would be very much appreciated.

Listening to::::
Capital FM on my computer.

Favorite Youtube Video last week:::
You know what I love?  Finding a show I didn't even know was on.  I've always been a huge fan of historians Ruth, Alex and Peter and have really enjoyed all their shows whether it was the Victorian Pharmacy, Edwardian Farm etc.  I had no clue that they had a new one going called Full Steam Ahead where they look at how the railroads created and affected modern Britain.  You can watch all the episodes on YouTube, here is the first.

On the menu for this week:::

Just have planned until Thursday, actually need to sit down today some time and work on the new menu.  I can tell you that it's going to be very cheap, very quick and easy meals.  I need to feed my family of four while trying to spend as little money as possible.  Let's see what happens.

Monday -  Roast Chicken and Potatoes
Tuesday - Spaghetti Bolognese, Garlic Breadsticks
Wednesday - Chicken with Carrots and Tomatoes, Mashed Potatoes
Thursday - Amish Country Casserole
Friday - Chili Dogs, Arby's Fries
Saturday
Sunday -

On my To Do List:::
Laundry
Housework
Homeschooling
Menu Planning

Looking forward to:::
Getting through this rough patch that has come upon us and moving on with life.

What I plan on doing for myself this week:::
I've been enjoying my crochet, it's actually been keeping me quite calm.  I'm making good progress on my cosy stripes blanket, and I'm hoping to start a blanket for my daughter using this adorable Kitty Cat Pattern.  She loves cats so I think she will really love this afghan.

Favorite photo:::
Been making some scarves to possible sell.  These are the Pavement Infinity scarves, they work up so fast and are quite beautiful.

Lesson learned the past few days:::
That I don't need to let bad patches in my life, get the best of me.  Last week I had a mini breakdown.  I am usually extremely positive and choose to see the best in everything and the light at the end of the tunnel etc.  But I couldn't do it anymore, when my husband set off to work on Friday, as his last day, I really let it hit me and I immediately reached out to my sister in law and broke down.  I cried folks, the ugly gross cry and I yelled and I was angry and I fell apart and couldn't even get my breath at times.  But I did it and then got over myself and moved on.  It's a hard lesson to learn but it's one I find absolutely necessary.  We're human, we need to allow ourselves to be vulnerable at times and cry and feel scared, but it's what we do with those feelings that counts.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:::

Praying for you dear friend. I had my own mini break down last month when we had both been ill and then the truck quit on us. But God provided and we have the best car we have owned in a long time. He will make a way for you also. Mini break downs happen. I am praying for you all and thinking of you too.
