Modern makeovers with Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Giveaway

Boy oh boy oh boy, do I have something fantastic to show you.

Forget everything you know about your crockpot, forget the plain white or the metallic colors because what I have to tell you about is something that is going to knock you socks off.

And just in time for Christmas.

Imagine if you will gifting your sports loving family members a new NFL Crock-Pot® Slow Cookers series, featuring their favorite NFL team. You get to pick from 32 teams.

You think that would make them happy? Just take a look at some of these examples, how neat is that???  And they start around $29.99 for the 2.5 QT.

I think they would look amazing at your next Superbowl party.

But now let's say you are not into sports. I know, shocking, but guess what, I'm not so I went with something else.

I designed my very own crockpot to match my kitchen and oh my word, I am completely in love.

Crock-Pot® Create-A-Crock™ has launched this amazing idea.  YOU get to pick what your crockpot will look like.  You can pick plain colors, you can pick patterns, you can write text on it, you can put family photos or maybe a photo of you cooking with your grandma or mom etc.

I can't even wrap my mind around how awesome this is.

I went online and picked what I wanted, it was such an easy choice for me because I knew what colors I wanted to incorporate so I went with one of the existing patterns available.  In just a few clicks of the mouse button, I had my crockpot all picked out and ready to ship, and it looks beautiful.

But  nothing prepared me for opening the box and seeing it in person.  WOW!!!

It is out of this world gorgeous and it fits me to a tee, don't you think????

Look at these handles, they snap onto the base to stay in place. Awesome!

Hula Chicken

I got right to work on it, there was no way that I would let this beauty sit around for long.  First on the menu.......

Hula Chicken

Hula Chicken

6 bacon strips, divided
6 boneless skinless chicken thighs (about 1-1/2 pounds)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
3/4 cup barbecue sauce

Cut three bacon strips in half; cook until partially cooked but not crisp. Drain on paper towels.

Season chicken with salt and pepper; place in a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker. Top each thigh with a half piece of bacon. Top with onion, pineapple and barbecue sauce.

Hula Chicken

Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 180°. Cook remaining bacon until crisp; drain and crumble. Sprinkle over each serving. Yield: 6 servings.

Yum!

Since then I've also made Chili and Slow Cooker Chicken Curry.  Both recipes can be found on my food blog.

Now....onto the giveaway part.  The wonderful folks over at Crock-Pot are giving one lucky reader a  Crock-Pot® calendar cookbook, three Crock-Pot® seasoning mixes and a Crock-Pot® slotted spoon.

Great way to get you in the mood for some crock-pot meals, and you know at this time of the year is the perfect time to make stews, soups and even desserts.

I will draw a winner on Thursday,  13th December, using Random.org.

  • All you need to do is leave me a comment on this post, and please be sure to include an email where I can reach you if you are drawn as the winner.

  • Also keep in mind that this contest is open to US residents only.

  • You will have 48 hours to claim your prize if you are deemed the winner, if you don't reply within that time, a new winner will be randomly picked from the list.

Good Luck everyone!

I was sent a Crock-pot for review purposes.  All opinions and thoughts are expressly mine alone.
