{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 09/20/2021 }

Good morning everyone, welcome back to my little corner of the world.  I hope you've had a restful weekend and I pray for a blessed week ahead for each, and every single one of you.

This weekend flew by for me, literally blinked and it's Monday again.  I am praying for a blessed week for us as well, we have a lot going on.  Still trying to get my MIL's house sold, and we've had problem after problem.  It's frustrating but we've left it in God's hands and are confident He will work it all out, for our good.

Let's get going, I don't have much time this morning before I need to head out.

Breakfast time....what is on the plate this morning::::
Just a cup of coffee with vanilla creamer, and then I'll have some toast with apple butter, in about 30 minutes.

Looking around the house::::

We are definitely heading into Fall, the mornings are taking longer to get brighter.  It is still quite dark in the house.  The mornings are crisper, so I've been opening the windows to let in the fresh air.

On today's to do list::::
Clean house, especially wash big windows in living room and den.
Clean pool, working on getting it completely clean so we can winterize it.

Currently reading::::
I am now in 1 Corinthians in the Bible
Kicking Ass in a Corset, for a book review coming up.

On the TV this week::::
Homemaking Vlogs

The weather outside is::::
Really hoping for cooler weather, but today, we are expecting a high of 104.  I don't want it, I really don't want it.

On the menu this week::::

Monday - Chicken Broccoli Divan, Salad
Tuesday -  Fish Sticks, Scalloped Potatoes, Mixed veggies
Wednesday - BBQ Ribs, Baked Potatoes, Salad
Thursday - Spaghetti and Meatballs, Garlic Bread
Friday - Bratwurst, Chips
Saturday - Spicy Chicken and Bacon Macaroni, Sauteed Kabocha Squash
Sunday - Sub Sandwiches, leftovers

If I have a few minutes to myself, I will::::
Definitely crochet, been wanting to carry on with my blanket and haven't had a chance.

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::

I want to make a dessert this week, not sure which, but it will be a new one and I'll share with you once it's on the food blog.

One of my simple pleasures::::
Watching history documentaries

Something fun to share::::
Short but really sweet video welcoming in Autumn.  This is from the Hand and Harvest channel, on Youtube.

Favorite photo from the camera::::
I have a post coming up later, just little snippets of our weekend, and this is one of the photos I'll be sharing.  I've now processed all our pumpkins, except for one that is still on the vine and should be ready this week.

Praying for::::
♥♥  My sister in law, as she continues her treatments.  Want to give a quick praise report though.   She had an ultrasound on Thursday to check on the tumor in her breast, and it has shrunk considerably, it is only a 1cm now, and the lymph nodes that were affected before have all disappeared too.  Hallelujah, praise God!   Thank you all for the prayers.
♥♥  Jasmine has decided to push through her anxiety and start driving lessons.  It is huge for her, because she is terrified of driving, but we have found a school locally that is very good and they deal with situations like this all the time.  Please keep her in your prayers.
♥♥  Still praying for our country and the craziness that we see going on, not just here in the States, but all over the world.  The spiritual warfare rages on, and the whole world is fighting for it's freedom.

Love the menu. You reminded me I have walleye in the freezer I need to get eaten up soon. I love my crochet down time anymore, and can't wait for the cool down we are to get this week. Have a great week!

YAY that is wonderful news about Hayley! Proof that prayers are working. Good news too that Jasmine is ready to tackle that hurdle in her life.

I'm over here laughing as I'm noticing overlap in our menus again. Hubby renamed Chicken Divan years ago when we lived in Texas the first time to Chicken Divine though.

Have a fantastic week my friend - so glad to see your temperatures are starting to drop a bit.

Prayers for Jasmine. I have one currently doing the driving portion of getting her license. It can be so stressful! We'll add you SIL to our prayer list.
Hope you have a wonderful week.

So glad Hayley is doing well, that is wonderful news. Jasmine will be so glad she learned how to drive. Even if she doesn't drive all the time I definitely think it's a skill everyone should have. Good for her for pushing through the anxiety and wanting to learn. We'll be rooting for her.
