Good
morning ladies, welcome back.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was good, filled with family time, but also quite busy which means, I am not ready for the week ahead. I would have preferred a longer weekend, to be honest.
Mondays are usually my down days when it comes to working out, so I think I will take today to relax, take it slower and either do some reading or start one of my Lego plants that I got for my birthday, from my brother in law. Either way, I will be taking it easy today and am looking quite forward to it.
Now, let's get on with our post. Have a blessed week friends ♥
The weather:::
It's been quite nice, with temperatures hanging in the 90s. I think we've actually had a very mild summer, which I'm grateful for. Looks like the rest of the week will be about the same, with even a day in the 80s. I'm here for it!
As I look outside my window:::
The sun is just starting to come up, so the sky is starting to lighten, which gives glimpses of morning through the tree branches.

Right now I am:::
Sitting on my bed. I am working on this post and chatting with Nick for a little. Curt already left for work. Kaia and Elliott are both asleep on the bed next to me, and I am watching a video on the TV.
Something fun to share (a blog, a video, a tip):::
Thought today I would share Lucy Wyndham-Read's new workout video for this week. It is a 15 minute walk at home video and I absolutely love these. She has been instrumental in my weight loss journey and I think you guys will enjoy her too.
Thinking and pondering:::
About fall and the cooler weather. I am holding off on pulling out any fall decorations, but I will say, it's been hard not to. They may start showing up here and there.

What I'm currently reading:::
Reading O Pioneers by Willa Cather and loving it. This is my first Willa Cather book and I think I am going to love her work. I do have another 2 of hers on my shelf, thankfully.
In my daily Bible reading, we are in the book of Jeremiah. It's such an interesting book in the Bible and one of my favorites.
On my tv:::
YouTube homemaking videos

My simple pleasure:::
History, learning about different countries, researching, reading. I know that may sound so boring, but I really enjoy it and finding it relaxing.
Looking around the house:::
It's still a bit dark but starting to get lighter. I need to do the usual "after weekend" clean up, just putting things in their places, vacuuming, dusting, and so forth.
From the camera:::
My birthday flowers from my sweet daughter.
Bible verse, prayer, devotional:::
Our Pastor started a new series yesterday called Storm Warning and it is going to focus on preparing our hearts for what is to come. It was such a good message. The key verse was Matthew 24:1-14. What we are seeing in the world today is the beginning of the birth pains, and things will change, and nothing will be as it once was. We can either be fearful of that, or we can be rested in the knowledge that as Christ's children, we will be ok through all of this.
1As Jesus left the temple and was walking away, His disciples came up to Him to point out its buildings.
2“Do you see all these things?” He replied. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
3While Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?”
4Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you.
5For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Hope you get to relax today. Beautiful flowers and I love your menu for the week. Have a great week
ReplyDeleteIt's always such a relaxing moment to me to read your Mondays post, Sandra Dear, thank you for publishing it and for hosting, of course!

I have not read Willa Cather yet, but she is on my list! I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying it. I'm reading Jeremiah too. It is truly amazing how many chances God gave them - and gives to us! And still loves us. It's so difficult to fathom. And I love learning and research too. I don't think it's boring at all!
ReplyDeleteI love the LEGO flowers. IKEA has a great mini-greenhouse which would make a great display case for them. It's called ÅKERBÄR and comes in two different sizes.
ReplyDeleteThank you as always for hosting this party! I love it so much! I agree that I'm also waiting to put up my fall decorations, it just feels hard to do when its 90 plus outside, but I did get some fall scented hand soaps from Bath and body works which makes me want fall to come even more! Thanks for the reminder to water plants, lol, its the day I need to water my snake plant! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHello dear Sandra! I love those walking workouts too. Need to get back at them more. I think it's good to give your bod a day of rest too. I didn't know a new robin hood was coming - I love anything RH! I'll need to look that up. Beautiful flowers pic :) Blessings xo
ReplyDeleteHello!! It has been FOREVER since I stopped by. I often pop in occassionally but do not comment. That series LOOKS so good. I remember when I first found you, I believe you had a post that shared all kinds of period dramas like this and watched so many you shared from that list and my love for those shows began! You may not even remember me but I wanted to pop in on some of my favorite bloggers I use to read and I posted for the first time in a lonnngggg time. :) I just wanted to say hello. Thank you for sharing the walk at home video. I walk daily and it is soooo beyond HOT where I live so I will try that walking video.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're having a mild summer. I hope it stays that way with minimal fall storms coming your way. If you think of a way to make a 3 day weekend, please let me know!! Have a WONDERFUL week.
ReplyDeletefilm looks good, I will watch out for that. Yes there is Autumn in the air despite the heatwave that come and go, its dark after 9pm now and I brought my lamps out. I have been drying herbs for cooking and flowers/cones/stems for my Christmas wreath. A walking workout is an interesting idea :)
