It's way easier than fumbling with cell phones and the kids get a kick out of talking to their dad on the radio. It's much easier communicating this way for sudden freeway exits or unexpected bathroom breaks. I wish I could help with traffic through Vegas but unfortunately it's pretty awful all the time. The WORST times heading north are around noon and between 3-6pm M-F.
