The picture on the left is the view from my backyard this morning, I just thought the clouds looked so pretty, the whole sky is clear but for that one part....beautiful!!!
And speaking of photos, is anyone else having problems uploading them to Blogger, is it just me or does Blogger seem to be super slow the past two days??? It uploads photos but I have to let it sit there for 5 minutes or so, and I know that's not normal. Well, for Blogger actually it might be LOL
So this morning I had a MAJOR blonde moment. I was driving and complaining the whole time that I couldn't see out of my window...it kept getting fogged up and I had to keep reaching up and using my hand to clean it so I could see. Not very safe for driving....anyway, we get to the school and I pull up with my fogged up windows, it's embarassing, anyone seeing me drive up will think that there are a couple of teenagers doing unmentionable things in there....LOL
Anyway, we're sitting there in the car and I'm
So my 7 year old had to remind this stressed out whiny mom, that there IS a Defrost button, you know?!?!?!?
VOILA, within two seconds I could see....how embarassing!!! Ditz Patrol to the Rescue!!!
Anyway, I was watching The Bachelor Rome last night, ummm excuse me but "Erica, what the heck is wrong with you?", that girl was starting to scare me, I don't think I've ever seen anyone act like that on the Bachelor before. See I'm not as big a Reality TV fan as I used to be a couple years ago but then it seems that the networks got inundated with ridiculous reality shows, each one progressively dumber than the last one, so I got turned off. I think The Bachelor, Wife Swap and The Nanny are the only ones I still catch from time to time.
The Bachelor because it's just funny to me, the Wife Swap because then I can tell my hubby that he really IS lucky to have me (LOL) and The Nanny just to show myself that my kids are really Angels comparatively. It's all part of my life lessons, or so I tell myself so that I have an excuse to keep watching them. LOL
I have laundry that has to be put away, but I'm in one of those "lazy days", the ones where all I want is to cuddle on the couch, watch tv and do absolutely nothing. I also want 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, a porsche and world peace....so you see where this is going right???
But really, you ever have those days where you have to bribe your body to do things...like "if you just walk into the kitchen, I promise there's a cupcake in it for you" or "if you just get up off the chair I will let you watch tv for an extra hour later, ok?". It's ridiculous when you start bartering with your own body.
But now you see where I'm at today...I just want to sit right here, on the computer chair, visit your blogs and do nothing. But alas, reality calls, I have errands to run, a house to clean and a 3 year old to keep entertained, though I've realized it doesn't take much to keep him happy, just give him a few chips, a cup of milk and an empty box and this child is thrilled for hours.
Don't forget that there's a lot of blogdom happenings coming up, our wonderful friend over at "Overwhelmed with Joy" put up a list, so go check it out if you're interested in participating in something fun.
I'm hosting my own Holiday Traditions on November 1st, so I hope you will all join in, I would love to hear about your family traditions.
Do you and your family have a special tradition every Christmas Morning, or maybe it's a special dinner for Thanksgiving??? Do you all go out on a certain day to get a Christmas Tree??? Is there a special ornament or fun way your family decorates for the holidays??? How about different Heritages, how are the holidays celebrated all over the world???
So please, if you want to share your Traditions, just remember to come back here on the 1st of November, and in the meantime if you wouldn't mind helping me spread the word, just grab the banner and maybe give a little shout out??? Also link to THIS POST, for the rules!!! You know I'm not one to ask and I actually feel bad doing it, but I would love to see as many people as possible participating :)
I'm sure by now you've noticed that I made a few small changes to the template, and at first I was going to change it completely, but I realized that if this is working for me, there's no need to go messing with it. Having this simple base to start from allows me to change it according to the holidays or seasons, which is great.
Well I better get moving on out of here....Have a Blessed Day!!!
Dinner tonight is just a simple Tuna Salad, something the kids and I really enjoy but it's not one of hubby's favorites, hence we have it for dinner when he's gone somewhere :)

I can't believe how cold it is out there, but you do have some beautiful scenery. I loved the picture.
ReplyDeleteOK, so your kid is smarter than you. Consider that doing a great job. Don't we all want smarter kids than we are? I know for sure mine are smarter than me.
As for the Bachelor Rome, I cannot beleive Erica was in the coming attractions. What's up with that. Wife Swap was interesting. Boy can your imagine spending $1000. on a pair of shoes? I don't think we would be shopping in the PX/BX do you?
I'd love to do the Holiday Traditions and spread the word, but I don't know how to put the banner on my site. You know how computer illiterate I am. How do you do this? I'm hoping it's easy. That sounds like such a fun thing to participate in. I can't wait to find out what everyone's traditions are.
PS Do they have a blogging for dummies book yet?
Thanks for sharing your blond moment. I needed the smile. It's silly how we over look the simplest things.
ReplyDeleteI love the view.
I can't even upload photos right now. Ug!!
Love the new look! And it's been cold here too. We heat with a pellet stove but it has been running day and night for a couple days now. Noticed snow caps on the mountain nearby this morning... beautiful but bbbrrrr....
ReplyDeletePS I forgot to thank you for praying for me and my family. I am so glad to have friends like you out there. It was good that no one on the big island lost their lives. I heard this morning there was another earthquake over there, but just 4.0. Those poor people, they got hit with a horrible thunderstorm last night. I guess that's not too good for tourism. Here on Oahu we have been pretty lucky.
ReplyDeleteI've always watched The Bachelor. For some dumb reason I just wasn't with it this time and missed not only the premiere but the second episode, too! So I have to tell you I was shocked when I saw Erika last night. Not only is she a tad bi-polar but who on earth told her that horrible extension-mop on her head added to her charm? I couldn't believe it. I know they have people on that set who keep these girls looking wonderful so you have to think they deliberately let her look the way she did. I'm soooo glad she's gone.
ReplyDeleteOK. Every single time I come over here you have a new banner, each one prettier than the last one. I love this one. It's gorgeous.
I'm not ashamed to admit I'm addicted to Survivor, too. Always have been. But I AM ashamed to admit I'm becoming addicted to Deal or No Deal. I don't know what that little addiction says about me but I'm pretty sure it's not good. :-)
I like your new look......very inviting.....
ReplyDeleteI can SO relate to so much of what you posted! And I just love the way that your blog looks :)
ReplyDeleteErika on the Bachelor -- when he was telling her that he really just couldn't find any fault with her? What was that? At least she gave him a little dose of her crazy on the way down the steps!
And sitting on the computer all day.....yes, I have many of those days clawing at me!
And the laundry fairy -- if you find her, will you ask if she folds and puts away too?
Last but not least -- I have plenty of blonde moments too -- you are NOT alone!
Sherry
I saw that same sky this morning and you're right -- it was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOn the car defrost thing: be sure and move your switch from "recirculate" to "outside air" in the winter time. If you don't, you'll just move the same human air through your car and that fogs up the windows. If you already knew that, don't mind me. I just don't know where you've lived in winter and it took me a while to learn that little trick. :)
I think I'll do your holiday traditions thing. I just have to figure out how to move the banner.
LOL! That is just too funny about the Defrost! It's been cold here too. Below freezing for a few nights and we had wet blustery snow for a couple days. The kind that melts when it hits the ground.
ReplyDeleteErika is definitely driving me nuts too - I can't believe he kept her.
ReplyDeleteLOL at your blonde moment!! I love the new look of your blog!
ReplyDeleteKelli
I think your blonde moment makes perfect sense - your unconscience just wasn't ready to admit that winter is on the way.
ReplyDeleteI did a short post and used your Holiday Traditions banner. I look forward to reading everyones' traditions. Great idea!
I love that others have blonde moments too!!! :) Makes me feel normal!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing - you always make me laugh!!!
The view you shared --- GORGEOUS!!!!!
