Slow Cooking Thursday!

Welcome to my weekly Crockpot Recipes Exchange. It's such a great way to share your favorite dishes or to learn some new ones to make for your family.
What do you think??? Do You have some great recipes to share, or perhaps you're looking for some delicious ones to give you a reason to pull out the ol' crockpot???
Time to pull out those crockpots and put them to good use. If you want to join in, just grab the banner and add your name to Mr Linky :)

Who doesn't like Spaghetti??? It's pretty much a staple in many households, at least once a week we whip up a big pot of spaghetti, so what would be easier and better than putting all the ingredients in the crockpot and letting it cook all day???

MEATY SPAGHETTI

1 pound ground beef
1 pound bulk Italian sausage
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
8 garlic cloves, minced
3 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) Italian diced tomatoes, drained
2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce
2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon dried basil
2 teaspoons dried marjoram
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Hot cooked spaghetti

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef and sausage until no longer pink; drain.

Transfer to a 5-qt slow cooker. Stir in green pepper, onion, garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, paste, sugar and seasonings; mix well.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until bubbly. Serve over spaghetti.

Yield: 12 servings

  11. I really like the sound of this, Sandra, because it sounds like the way I used to make homemade spaghetti sauce, before I became addicted to the little seasoning packets. Guess what? I finally broke down and bought a slow cooker recipe book. So who knows. Maybe I can actually start participating in this soon.

I cook in my slow cooker all the time but I kind of invent things and it's impossible to convert it into a recipe that would make sense to anyone else.

This sounds wonderful. Gee. Big surprise there. Every single recipe of yours I've ever made has been wonderful!
