I asked for prayers and you answered and by last night all of the issues going on at hubby's work were resolved. Everything is fine and we couldn't be happier.
Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate it more than I could ever tell you. I spent last night thanking the Lord, for this and for everything, all the blessings in my life and you, you my dear bloggy friends who are always there ready to help when needed.
I still can't give you the details, all I can say is that you know he is a Crew Chief with the F-16's which means he is a mechanic for those amazing machines. When there is any kind of problem with the said machine, there is usually a huge investigation and so forth with anyone that was anywhere near the jet. Being military it's all too easy to get into big trouble and it's the kind of thing that can ruin your career, but thankfully it's all resolved, it was just an accident and out of the airman's hands and everything is fine. Nevertheless while it is happening, it's scary and nerve wrecking not just for them but the families too.
So again, thank you for the prayers :)
Now that I can relax, I am trying to finish off a Knitted Shrug for Jasmine, then I have two to make for myself. You do know what Shrugs are right? They are so easy to knit and I absolutely love them.....they look great, they keep you warm and the possibilities are endless using different colors.
This is the one I'm making for me and Jasmine, but I'm also going to make another using longer sleeves.
This is where I'm at with it, I only need about another 4 rows and then it will be done.
I just don't see paying money for something that is super easy to make and quick too, I got all that done in just two hours.
Today I have to take the kids to the BX, they want to buy daddy their Christmas gift. I don't get involved at all, only money wise, because I love seeing what they come up with on their own. It's always amazing to me how their perceptions of what daddy wants or needs, is so different.
Curt will be there too, but in a different area of the store, we'll be switching kids out because they want to buy mine too. Now I know some of you may be wondering how that will work out having everyone there at the same time, but we always have the best time doing it, it's funny watching everyone running into aisles while trying to avoid running into each other. LOL
We have nothing else planned for today, I'm not feeling that good, it's that time of the month and I've also got a bit of a head cold/allergy thing going on, this time of the year is just brutal isn't it?
I'll be sitting down knitting, watching "Colonial House" and "Manor House" and using up the tons of lemons that are starting to fall off the tree. I think I'll start with a Lemon Drizzle Cake then make some Lemon Curd and finally some Lemon Bars which are Curt's favorites. After the week he's had, I want to do something special for him.

Yey! So pleased. Work issues can be so stressful. BIG HUGS!
ReplyDeleteLove the shrug!
Thanks for the card BTW, it arrived today.
Hugs n' love
Sarah
I'm so happy to hear that things are resolved. Those kinds of issues can be so stressful. Enjoy your day - sounds like a good one!
ReplyDeleteFirst time posting, but I have been coming here for a few months now. I love your site and you have actually encouraged me to practice some much needed baking skills. I love to cook but I am from the South so measuring things is not really in my cooking skills. We just do a tad of this and a shake of that. LOL. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season and I appreciate you and your blog very much!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting caught up on reader and just read both posts. I'm so glad things worked out well for Curt and the situation is resolved. I know how those "military" situations can go, we had our share of sleepless nights on a few too. As my aunt used to say, (well she had 2 sayings and you never knew which one was going to pop out) Let Go and Let God or PUSH pray until something happens, either way the power of prayer really does work.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra!
ReplyDeleteO my gosh... that shrug is gorgeous! What an amazing gift for yourself and sweet daughter... love that!
Colonial House and Manor House.. are those the PBS specials that were aired a couple years back?? I LOVED THOSE! Me and my honey were hooked when they were airing them :) How fun! Something about different era's isn't there??
So glad that the work situation with your honey worked itself out.. God is so good to us isn't He! Yay for that... makes Christmas more enjoyable when everything is a bit smoother :)
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment on my "blah, freak out" day... :) You are such a precious soul.. I love your heart and your love for God, your family and others :)
Hugs.. Amy

ReplyDeletePraise God everything has worked out at Curt's work! Work stresses are so hard not to bring home.
ReplyDeleteThose shrugs are adorable. I love them. They look cute and add just the right layer of warmness when it's cooler.
Oh good, I'm glad everything worked out and that your family is ready to enjoy the Holiday season.
ReplyDeleteListen, I want to make your Peppered Meatballs in the slow cooker- I'm thinking that they're a bit like a Beef Stroganoff sans noodles? That's what I'm hoping. What do you think?
Glad all things worked out for the good and now you guys can enjoy the holidays.. your shopping spree sounds like loads of fun.. I can just see you guys dodging each other in the store LOL
ReplyDeleteHave fun and God bless
So glad everything worked out.
ReplyDeleteWe do the same thing- shopping for each other while we're all together.
I love it- so much fun!
I'm glad things smoothed out...now you can enjoy Christmas without that stress hanging over your head.
ReplyDeleteI love the knitting--I'm knit-disabled. I've tried and tried, and I lose patience. The shrug is beautiful, though. Nice job.
I wasn't on the blogs lately but I am glad to hear Curt's work issue was resolved. I know how this stuff goes in the military. It's nice to know you can enjoy Christmas without this being said and done.
ReplyDeleteThe knitting is beautiful. I want to learn to knit, but I am not too crafty. I am definitely going to give it a try again. After looking at all the things you knit I am inspired.
Things have a way of working out as they are supposed to.
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad you are all able to relax now and just enjoy this special Christmas season.
I was just doing the same thing with the switching out of kids while all shopping together. It makes you become crafty with the hiding. ;-)
Take some time to rest and enjoy the seaon's wonders!
Glad to hear things are worked out. You don't need any added stress during the holidays. Love your knitting project - I really want to learn how to knit someday.
ReplyDeleteWe're taking it easy here again today. The snow has hit again - churches are canceled. It sure is pretty though.
Wonderful news, Sandra! Wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kelli
