A little bit of rest and everything is better in the morn...

Thank God for a comfy bed, tons of pillows to prop my neck and back, Mcleod's Daughters AND my knitting basket.

When I wasn't in the kitchen fixing dinner, I was in my bedroom, on the bed, in my little nest, with the clicking of the needles and the sound of characters on the TV....I got so relaxed and so into it that before I knew it I had knitted a bath mitt for myself and let me tell you, I tried it last night and it's just wonderful....I won't be going back to washcloths ever again.

and one of my fingerless gloves. So quick, SO easy, you won't believe it.

Jasmine and Nicholas took one look at it and begged me to make them some, so that's what I'll be doing today.

Even if you're a beginner knitter, you just have to give these a go, within 30 minutes you'll have yourself a nice glove....then you can either knit the remaining one or go for the cool look with just the one glove on your hand LOL
But you'll likely be called Michael Jackson, like I was when I showed hubby the finished one I had LOL

Now for all the McLeod's Daughters fans out there, the ones who are watching it through Netflix....it ends with Season 7, but Season 8 has been playing on the TV in Australia and just ended I think this past fall...but it hasn't been released yet on DVD, so what is a girl to do? Wait for months until that happens? Nope, you go to YouTube and you watch the last Season, and you cry like a baby, and you stop yourself from throwing things at the TV because nothing makes sense and you're frustrated and irritated and you feel like a fool sobbing over this.

But if you're like me and can't wait, go ahead and go watch. Don't say I didn't warn you though and don't come back and complain of red eyes ok?

Me? I'm just going to go putter around the house, put away all the laundry that I just washed, give this living room a quick sweep and then sit down with my knitting. I am feeling a lot better but still not 100% and I do NOT want to push it.

I'll back tomorrow. Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday, whether you're in a sunny place like we are, or in a snowy place like so many of my favorite bloggers are.

  4. So glad you are feeling better. We're all snow and ice here in the northeast - probably a great time to Netflix McLeod's Daughters, right?

  5. So glad you're feeling better! My daughter and I tried to learn knitting about a year ago, and we almost had it, but then many things intervened so that we had to shelve the ideas. HOWEVER, I found our knitting needles and yarn and beginning books in a box and have set it aside for those times when we're ready to try again. Those fingerless gloves are SOOO in style! Thanks for the previous post in which you gave links to easy knitting.

    Have another good night's rest.

  6. Good to hear you are better. Those projects do look adorable. I was never good at knitting, I'm more of a quilter and stitcher, but I do envy your skill.

  8. Glad you are doing better today.

Ever given a chiro a try?? You seem to do in your neck and back rather often. Might be worth giving a shot.

Also - I ordered myself some fingerless gloves for Christmas off of Etsy this year. I LOVE them. Now if I could only find a mentor to teach me to knit!

  10. It's been a couple of weeks since I finished McLeod's Daughters and I am still missing them all dearly. *sigh* I feel a little lost without them to watch each night!

The last season was definitely watched with a lot of tears of sadness and frustration! But no matter what happened, I never stopped loving the show!
