:::BOUGHT
I sit patiently waiting, constantly checking the mailbox until I can bet my hands on this beauty. I'll share it all with you when I get it, though it may be a day or two while I devour everything inside.
:::LOVED
Spending time at the library, going through all the new books available and the hundreds and hundreds of older ones sitting on the shelves. There is something so relaxing about it.
:::CHANGED
Removed some of the photos off the wall and added new ones, also added the new Easter Garland.
:::WATCHED
The 3 disc series from BBC "Lilies". Tough, sexy, funny and heartbreaking, Lilies details the lives of Iris, May and Ruby Moss – sisters coming of age in a dockland terrace house. Familial love sustains them, and their fortunes are bound to those of their brother and their father.
Set in the years immediately following the First World War, Lilies pulls no punches in its storytelling.
It depicts a sensual, vivid and sometimes savage world, where life is lived on the breadline, yet fuelled by various kinds of love. All three girls must make their own way in the world.
:::STARTED
These adorable crochet cupcakes. I'm planning on making 6 in total to sit on this cake plate as a decoration for my kitchen. Inside I've tucked some Lavender scent, my favorite. I also have some patterns for a cake, cake slice, cookies etc...I plan on trying those out too.
:::FOUND
A bunch of small cookbooks on Amazon...recipes from all places like Lancashire, Scotland, Ireland, Around the Shires, Herefordshire and the Welsh Marshes, Isle of Wight and a few others. I can NOT wait to get them in the mail, they combine some of the things I love...cooking and England.
:::DECIDED
What activities we're doing this summer, signing up kids for swimming lessons and the library reading program, plus a few other day trips.
I leave you with a photo of my newest cupcake with sprinkles and all. I love them...and apparently so do my kids who I've found holding the cupcakes and pretending to eat them, they've even asked me to make them some to play with.

The other day I made "Shepherd's Pie" and thought of all the sheep & lambs I saw in England - even though the recipe uses BEEF not lamb - ha!! Anyway...my point is I love all things English too. I'm going to look if I can get your serie Lilies thru Blockbuster (Which is what we use instead of Netflix). And the cupcakes - LOVE THEM!!! They'd be worth selling somewhere - my kids would ADORE them too!! :)

This was such an enjoyable post. I can't wait to hear all about the new cook book. I really loved the picture of your library. I like the bench picture especially the family picture in the middle, it's funny I have a bench like this that house two doll bunnies. I discovered "Lilies" which holds definite appeal for me, and the adorable cupcakes are amazing. I wish I could do something like this. also the Favorite Lancashire recipes sounds like it would be good too. Glad to hear you have a plan for summer, that's more then I can say for myself. As you can see I got a lot out of this post. I am going over to check out Lilies right now. Thanks.
