102.3, cough, congestion and so forth
I'm sure you're wondering where I disappeared to especially since I haven't even made it to the Slow Cooking Links from yesterday.
I'm sorry, but I'm in bed with a high fever, cough, sore throat and bad congestion. I feel absolutely horrid, but of course it's not surprising. And when it rains it absolutely pours for me, my cars water pump is broken AND it's that time of the month. How wonderful.
When Jasmine got sick last weekend, you'll remember that I was going through a stomach flu, my poor immune system was already weak, so of course, I caught whatever she had.
I'll be in bed, I can't seem to bring down the fever and it's just draining me. I WILL come in tomorrow morning to wish my baby girl a Happy Birthday. Until then, please please say a prayer for us both, for her to get completely better and for me to get over this fever.
I can handle the cough and the congestion but I can't bear the fever, not when I have to drive little ones around and cook and clean. It's just too much, so much so that I burst into tears earlier, which is something I don't do very often, that's how desperate I am.
Have yourselves a wonderful Friday, I miss everyone but I need to get better first.
God Bless,
Sorry you are under the weather and stressed. As a mom I understand how somedays we just need to get a good cry out and hold our head up and go about our day. You will make it through this!

I hope that you feel better. I don't know how you can handle being a full-time SAHM. I give you two thumbs up. I have 2 girls: a 5 year old and a 6 month old. I have a hard time keeping up with the two of them right now. I'm just on mat leave but I am thinking of becoming a SAHM too. I'm just afraid that I might not be able to handle it.

Oh, Sandra....feel better soooooon!
ReplyDeleteI wish I lived around the corner so I could pop round to help out a bit, Sandra, but you stay in that bed as much as you can. Your family (and the rest fo us too) need you to get well.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Jasmine! She is a daghter to be very proud of indeed.
Poor Sandra! I wish we lived near one another, I could help you. I'm glad you mentioned about the crying b/c I do the same thing when I get a fever. It is misery! When I have fever like that I take Goodys or BC powders. Of course it works faster b/c it's already broken down to a powder but asprin works fast & the best on a fever. I dont care what standard healthcare says....IT WORKS! Remember when you were little & you were given those orange flavored Bayer Asprins for fever! It worked and your an adult so it is safe! That is about the only time I ever takes Goodys but they are the only things that seems to help. Drink OJ or Gatoraide. Fever= sweating=dehydration=loss of potassium = cramping etc. You know the drill. Praying for you girl!!
ReplyDeleteSandra:
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you are sick. I think you poor family has been under siege this winter. Praying for renewed health for all of you.

You poor thing, Sandra. I remember being sick all the time when my kids were still in school and bringing home germs non stop. What you have, combined with the other things, sounds miserable. I hope you get over it soon. Reading this makes me feel very fortunate that everyone around here is healthy, at least for a little while.
