The weather in my neck of the woods:
Raining....I'm SO happy that it's raining.
One of my simple pleasures:
Reading, by far one of my favorite things to do.
On my bedside table:
The Complete Novels of Jane Austen
On my TV:
Stargate SG1 Season 4
Merlin Season 2
On the menu for tonight:
Sweet and Spicy Bacon chicken
On my To Do List:
Mop and sweep
Laundry
New Recipe I tried last week:
Nothing new, have a few to try this week.
Granny Square blanket
Looking forward to:
Breakfast out with friends. One of our friends is leaving for England at the end of the month so we've been trying to get as much fun in as we can.
Homemaking Tip for this week:
Try cutting your potatoes in half before baking them. Then rub them with shortening, put the cut side down, sprinkle with coarse salt and bake them at 350 degrees for an hour or so. They get a nicely browned crust on the underside and the insides are nice and soft.
Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
Haven't had time to read blogs this past week.
Favorite photo from last week:
Lesson learned the past few days:
To treasure every day and every second you have with friends, make every minute count.
On my Prayer List:
Family and Friends
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
"Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you."
Jeremiah 32:17
