{ Bits of Friday... }

A quick dinner, the kids favorite, spaghetti.

I love that my children don't care if I've slaved over a hot stove or I just threw a few things together, everything that comes to the table is met with thankfulness and sighs of contentment.

My handsome boy having fun....the backpack and school related items are thrown to the side, forgotten about for a whole week and he couldn't be happier.

I'm crocheting eggs again in anticipation of Easter. Guess what? I might be making a dozen to giveaway on the blog, would that be something my readers would be interested in?

My reading pile sits on my bookshelf and I'm proud to say that I've been making quite a dent on that list. See the first book on the pile? That is the new Liz Curtis Higgs "Here Burns my Candle" which I will be reviewing shortly.

If you're a fan of the author you are going to absolutely fall in love with this book.

A corner in my bedroom, it makes me smile...

And this adorable little lady who follows me around, who sits on my lap or behind me when I'm on the computer, who sleeps at my feet when I'm in bed reading....

and who showers me with so much puppy love, enough to melt my heart, even if her teeth are all crooked....can't help but love her.

Spring break is upon us and next week I have my kids all to myself, there will be sleeping in and staying up late, playing board games, laughing over banana splits and enjoying the warm temperatures.

I'm ready for it and so are they! Are you?

  4. Sandra,

You and I are reading many of the same books which is nice because so many people get disappointed in the books that don't win, I can tell them about you as well when you do yours.

We are having spaghetti as well tonight and I must say, I absolutely love your blanket.

  8. I am reading the same book. I love it so far.

I would love the eggs as a give a way. I'm hoping to teach myself soon how to knit.

Glad to hear that all is well in your neck of the woods.

    Blessings to you!

  9. Looks like you and I have the same books we are reading! I've just started Here Burns My Candle and I can't hardly wait to get to An Absence so Great. I really liked the first one to that series.

Your Granny square blanket is gorgeous. I really like the colors.

    Enjoy your week.
