30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge - Day 5

I've been getting the best notes, messages on Facebook and emails about the changes some of you are already seeing

30dayhusbandchallenge

Day Five:

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers." Eph. 4:29

Another way to describe the positive side of this "30-Day Encouragement Challenge" is by using the word "edify," which means, "to build up." Negative comments only discourage and tear down. Positive comments encourage and build.

Do you edify your husband before others, adding to his value in their eyes? This is especially important to other family members.

Do you praise your husband to his relatives, and yours? Does your husband's mother know how much you love him? How about your dad? Perhaps you can drop a word of praise into a conversation or letter. Be creative in letting your relatives know that you respect your husband, love him, and support him - in spite of whatever flaws and weaknesses he may have.

I think I have this one covered, don't you?  LOL

I sometimes think that people may actually get sick of hearing me go on and on about my wonderful husband here on the blog, and on facebook.

But the truth is that, I don't even try.  I just love him and admire him so much that I want to shout it from the rooftops.

He is amazing, and I think that his mother and family and my family, all know just how much I love him and appreciate him :)

  1. I'm sure my friends and family get tired of hearing how great my husband is. God sure knew what he was doing when he brought us together. =)

  2. I think it's great that you praise Curt. I talk about Bob a lot too, but I like what you've mentioned about family. It's a good idea to be intentional about saying things to them. As a Mother-in-law, I know how much I would love to hear something like that.
