30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge - Day 6

Spent the best day in Sedona with the family.  It was truly magical though very very hot and I got burned.  I don't think I will ever enjoy Arizona and it's disgustingly high heat.

Will share pictures tomorrow :)

Here's just a preview, stunning, out of this world beauty.

But for now, this is going up late so most of you won't see it until tomorrow and I apologize, but we just got home.

Day Six:

". . . whatever ye do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Cor. 10:31b

Do you recognize and appreciate your husband's creativity? Or do you criticize and demean his efforts? Instead of negativity, determine to be positive. Perhaps you can help your husband see that his efforts are an opportunity to glorify God.

Is your husband the "creative" type? Does he have any artistic gifts? What is that special "knack" he has? Affirm him for his handiwork - a hobby, music, gardening, tinkering with cars, working with wood, etc. Remember: Even if he doesn't measure up to your standards, praise his efforts. If your budget allows, buy him a book or magazine that will continue to encourage his special skill or talent.

If you have a hard time finding his "creative side," understand that men's creativity sometimes is related to their work. Find something he does to make his job run more smoothly or something he does that adds value to his work . . . and let him know that you have noticed.

Make his day . . . Praise his accomplishments in public, while he is listening.

My husband is the smartest man I have ever known.  I mean, he is just amazing and he loves learning so he's always reading and researching and coming up with theories and all these mind blowing things that honestly leave me confused LOL

When he starts talking to me about the Universe and things of that nature, I get completely lost.  But his mind is brilliant.

I tell him and others all the time that he is a genius.  :)

  2. My husband is always researching things. When we met he was not mechanically inclined at all. Due to lack of funds he had to learn how to fix the car himself. Such a smart smart man.
