As I went through the journey of looking back through my blog a few weeks ago, I realized that I wanted...no...I needed to start posting daily.
I don't want to look back one day and realize that I missed out on capturing the daily going ons in our home.
I can't say that every day I'll have something fantastic to share, more likely than not, it will just be some of the same old stuff....but it doesn't matter, because what I want is to one day sit down with my kids and go through all these entries and smile and laugh and reminisce.
So, I'm making the decision to really make it a point of coming in every single night and jotting down what I did, even if it is just one picture to share. Doesn't matter :)
I finished the front of my Mini Hexagon pillow and I love it so very much. I love the colors, I love the pattern, I just love it.
Once I had all the mini hexagons sewed together I realized that I really didn't like the uneven edge, I wasn't quite sure how to make it work for the pillow, so I winged it and came up with some half hexagons. Was worried it wouldn't work because I didn't have a pattern to follow, but they came out just perfect :)
Also started on the back this morning. At first I was going to make the front and back separate pieces like I usually make all my other pillows, but decided to just go for it and make it one big piece.
Quite pleased with it so far :)
Remember when I mentioned that I was regrowing celery?? Well I've managed to do that successfully, and yesterday morning as I was getting lettuce cut up for lunch, I decided to give it a try regrowing it instead of throwing it out.
Wouldn't you know it? It's working as well.
Do you see the green leaves growing in???
Anyway, I spent the rest of today doing housework, giving the bathrooms a very good clean, doing all the laundry, taking care of yards and kids and pugs and homeschooling.
Unfortunately by mid afternoon, right in the middle of Nic's Math lesson, a pounding headache developed.
I think it's from the new birth control pills I started, the doctor did warn me that it may happen.
I don't get headaches very often, but when I do they are just so bad that even talking hurts.
I managed to throw together a quick Tamale Pie into the oven, and thankfully hubby was home soon afterwards and helped me out with dinner and kids.
I've taken some Motrin and it's dissipating, but still not gone completely. I think I may just call it an early night and hope that it's completely gone in the morning.
Hope you're all having a wonderful Monday night
Tomorrow I'll be trying something new. I'm going to take a picture every hour, on the hour, and then share it with you at night. If anyone wants to join in, get that camera out and make sure to snap a pic every hour throughout your day :)
Oh boy, my head hurts....I'm out everyone, goodnight :)

Hi Sandra,
ReplyDeleteSorry you are not feeling well. I wanted to ask, do you watch your soaps online, or do you have a satellite dish? I'd love to watch some Portuguese shows, but I was led to a site once for streaming European shows, and we got a terrible virus that crashed our computer. I love the Portuguese/South American soaps! Feel better soon!
