Hello lovelies, here we are, another Monday morning. This weekend went by far too fast for my liking, I would have enjoyed at least one more day off, wouldn't you?
On to today's post......
The weather.....
Had a gorgeous weekend with temperatures in the 80's. Here's a look at the rest of the week:
Right now I am....
Enjoying a cup of Cabela's Sportsman Blend Hazelnut Coffee. Talking to hubby as he gets ready to leave for work. Sitting on my couch and writing this post.
Thinking....
That I love the quiet mornings when it's just me and the birds chirping outside. Here shortly my hubby will head out the door and I'll pull out my Bible and do my reading, with no distractions.
On my reading pile....
An Elm Creek Quilts Collection by Jennifer Chiaverini.
On my TV.....
Lightfields
Broadchurch
In the Flesh
Restoration Home
Favorite blog post last week (mine or other)....
Quote of the Day: Laura Ingalls Wilder at Chiots Run
Blog hopping (newly discovered blog)....
This amazing blog about quilting, I love this lady, she really helps for those of us who are starting out. Check out Ludlow Quilt and Sew.
On the menu for this week....
Monday: Stuffed Cubed Steaks with Stuffing
Tuesday: Grilled Cheesy Corn and Bean Burritos with Spanish Rice
Wednesday: Roma Burgers on Spaghetti
Thursday: One Pot Sausage Etouffee
Friday: Teeny's Mexican Casserole
Saturday: Chicken Broccoli Stir-Fry
Sunday: Easter - Deviled Eggs, Baked Ham, Green Beans and Bacon, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Sticky Lemon Cake
On my to do list....
Zumba
Laundry
Wash floors
Homeschooling
In the craft basket....
A crochet granny mandala, and a new quilt.
Looking forward to this week....
Hearing some good news from my brother and sister in law
Getting our old Durango fixed
My husband starting new classes which he's excited for
More puttering around in the garden
Looking around the house....
It's still quiet, though my youngest has woken up and is eating his breakfast. The sun is shining brightly through the windows and illuminating the living room.
There are a few breakfast dishes in the sink to wash, and all sorts of items on my kitchen table. Seems to be a catch all area during the weekend, so there's racquetball stuff, college books, a bike helmet etc. Need to get it all cleared up.
From the camera....
On my prayer list.....
My parents
My brother and sister in law
My husband as he begins new classes today on his journey to getting his BA
Bible verse, Devotional....
If you know who you are in Christ, it won't matter so much to you what other people think. - Joyce Meyer
I love starting my Monday mornings by reading your blog. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove your temps there...been freezing here with a very cold wind brrrr Tell Curtis & the kids hello...Love Uncle Mike & Aunt Nita
ReplyDeleteHannah and I read Little Woman together not long ago. Love that book.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for temps into the 50's. I'm not sure mid 80's would make me feel any better than freezing. LOL
I love the concept of Happy Monday Homemaker...I hope to link up!!Anything I should know...is there a picture I can put on my blog with Happy Monday Homemaking on...
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy reading your blog. Thank you so much for your inspiring posts.
ReplyDeleteI hate exercise, but you seem to talk a lot about Zumba. Maybe I'll have to give it a try. I need an exercise that is fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look at the new blog you posted. I'm dying to get into quilting and have so many fun scraps of material, I just don't know how or where to begin.
You are such a great resource for all things crafty and homemaking. Your blog is my favorite blog I read. I feel like I always learn something or have an emotional connection to what you are saying.
Praying for your family, and I'm excited for your husband and his new classes. Hope he enjoys it.
prayers for your family today!
ReplyDeleteI love the quote you added at the end. good reminder. :)
Jealous of your weather! I hate being cold. I am also jealous that you can get started in your garden. I am container gardening this year now that we don't have a yard and am anxious to get started/experimenting. I have been told that I should wait until the end of April in Oklahoma, though, to avoid any late frosts. It's all I can do to not go by Home Depot and window shop!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the new header and just about everything in your HHM post :) Little Women is my fave!
ReplyDeleteI should have waited to do mine, as I see I missed and messed up some of the categories. That's what I get for being excited and living in CST.
Oh how I envy your warm temps! LOL. Soon though I'll be hoping for milder weather I'm sure. Isn't that how it always goes? :)
ReplyDeleteI love your new template!
Prayers for your family, and thanks again for hosting Happy Homemaker Monday. It's great to connect with other mom bloggers and read about their weeks/days.
Afternoon Sandra, enjoyed your post......Prayers for the family, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI wish we were able to putter around the garden, we did try for ten minutes this afternoon but soon abandoned the idea as my eager little helpers hands had turned an alarming colour from the cold!
ReplyDeleteWonderful quote from Joyce Meyer.
Have a lovely week! xx
Found your blog through another blog I read, and excited to try to participate in the Homemaker Monday linkups! Also very happy to have found another home-schooling milspouse blog to read! My husband and I were both homeschooled K-12, and plan to homeschool our children as well. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I'm late today. The day just got away from me :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the weather you're having.
Prayers going out to all on your prayer list.
I am SERIOUSLY hoping that you are planning to food blog about these cheesy corn and bean burritos... I am intrigued!
ReplyDeleteLove love love your new header! Can I get in on that wish too?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
