You ladies are the best :)
I am so eternally grateful for the blog readers I have, and the friends that I have made through this space. I know that anytime I need to vent, there is someone out there that knows exactly what I'm going through, knows exactly what to say, and is always willing to listen.
It helps, so much!
So thank you my wonderful blog friends, your words and your prayers mean the world to me :)
I've had a good day. Lola has been perfectly fine. Truth be told I will never understand how they can have seizures but no symptoms of anything wrong, or act weird before or after, it's like the seizure happens and then they're immediately back to normal. Weird!
Anyway, still waiting on the vet to call back with the blood work, but I'll let you all know when that happens.
I spent the day doing housework, got through all the laundry....well most of it, still have one more load to wash, but that can be done tomorrow.
I also swept, vacuumed and mopped the floors in the entire house. It's one of those jobs that leaves me exhausted, ever since I had my son I've had major lower back issues.
Standing at the sink doing dishes for longer than 5 minutes hurts, mopping and sweeping hurts really bad. So sad considering I'm only 38 years old LOL
I seemed to have found myself surrounded by flowers and plants today, if there's one thing I love in the Spring and Summer, is bringing a little of the greenery into the home. And that is what I did.
First though let me show you my sunflowers. I'm SO excited about these because I've tried to grow them before with no success. The tallest one right now is about 7 feet high, goodness.
My flowers are all in full bloom which creates this carpet of color under my kitchen window. Snipped a few to bring inside.
Here's my mint, don't you just love how it smells? I go through so much during the warmer months, I use it in Iced Tea and Water and for cooking, so I make sure to always have some growing.
My money tree continues to thrive. Actually did a little research on it and it's said that they are very hard to kill. Not sure if that's a challenge, cause I'm pretty sure I could take it out fast LOL
Have cilantro and purple leaf basil in abundance, more than I know what to do with.
Of course the floral theme seems to continue throughout my house, even on my curtain tie backs. I'm thinking of making wider new ones, and adding a few more flowers too.
I love my little flowery bunting on the valance, it matches my curtains and makes the kitchen look so pretty :)
This next one, I know is not flowers but it's something else that I love, which are books.
I'm back on my reading kick and have been devouring books, left, right and center. These are a few on my reading list right now, the rest are on the Kindle.
I'm now going to sit down with my Kindle and my laptop. First I'll read for a while, then I'll continue watching Fringe. I'm so addicted to that show, really enjoying it, it's just the kind of show I like, science fiction at it's best :)
Of course Miss Lola will be laying right next to me. Love this baby girl so much!
I almost forgot to show you dinner...well part of dinner. I grilled up some delicious sausages and made some BLT Pasta Salad as a side. We love this salad in the summer.
Oh and before I leave, I have made my way around to visit everyone today, or at least the ones I could, and I'll finish visiting you all tonight too. I have been horrible about blog reading, just haven't had the time, we are on the last few weeks of school so it's a crazy busy time.
Have a restful blessed Friday night and a fantastic relaxing weekend.
Blessings,
I'm sorry you struggle with back pain, that is something I have had for years and it does make life hard some days! I grew sunflowers for the first time last year also and they are so beautiful! Love them! Enjoy!
ReplyDelete:) I'm glad you are ok. Saying some prayers for your family and Lola too!!
ReplyDeleteNot too long ago it was me with a sick kitty and a husband with a broken leg and uncertainty about the future ... It is HARD to go thru - but yes, you don't go thru it alone. God and good friends are always with you!! (HUGS)
So jealous of all your lovely plants. Those sunflowers will be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear your Miss Lola is doing better today. I wish I had all your plants. Try wear some flip flops while doing dishes. It helps me with my back pain.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that Lola is doing well, still praying for a good report.
ReplyDeleteWow, your sunflower is huge, already 7 ft., aren't they fun to grow!?
Your tiebacks are adorable and the curtains remind me of ones from my childhood..sigh.
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy your reading and Fringe. xo
Glad to hear Lola is doing alright. I love your flowers - so cheery!
ReplyDeletePS - I forgot to tell you that I also love your new look here!
Bless your heart Sandra. I just now read the post on Lola. I'll pray about that situation. I know how dear our pets are to us!
ReplyDeleteYou have quite the green thumb! I need you to help me! lol! Very pretty!
Hang in there, my friend!
Love ya,
Tammy
