And so we move forward!
That's it!
As of Friday, my husband is officially retired from the Air Force. What a weird feeling it is. I have to tell you that I don't quite know how to feel yet.
On the one hand I'm excited for this new journey, but on the other hand it's sad to see this Chapter in our lives come to an end. It's been all we've known for so long.
Right, so onwards we go and I'm excited to see what is ahead for our family.
Thank the Lord, my husband started working last week. You know we've put it all in His hands since the beginning and we've been faithful and haven't questioned the path we're on, and I think we're being rewarded and taken care of because of that. So thankful that Curt was able to not only find a job already but start working as well.
I know that I haven't been around, matter of fact I've been downright awful at blogging the past month, and I am not going to even try to explain the why's because you all know how busy I've been, but I just can't let the blog sit in the corner and gather dust. I have to make a genuine effort to get back to my normal blogging.
You know the other day I actually went and looked through some of your blogs and I felt like I've missed out on so much. It's almost like a whole year has gone by in the time that I've been away from the blog.
As we move forward with this new Chapter, things are falling into place. I'm back to my normal routine, homeschooling, cooking and baking and homemaking, crocheting and photography and everything that makes me.....well....ME.
I'm hoping that this is the kick off to my return to my blog, not that I was gone, but I wasn't really updating and it's not like I forgot about because every single day I would tell myself that I need to sit down and compile a post but by the time I got a few spare moments, it was 11pm and I just climbed into bed and fell asleep.
Let's see how things go starting this week :) For now, I'll leave you with pictures of my past week.....
I've missed you but I know you've been crazy busy. I know God is watching over you and He has been faithful to give Curt a job!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures you shared - they are so you, and they show you happy in Idaho!
I can relate all too well to being so busy and not having time to get to the blog.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear God's taking care of you and your family. That's great news about the job
I just love you pug!! He's so stinking cute!
So glad your hubby got a job! Hope everything continues to work out well. I have Monday off and so plan to join your for Happy Homemaker Monday! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Curt on getting a job so soon. It just goes to show what a hard worker he is. Awesome! Weird being away from the whole AF thing. I still have my moments where I miss it. Here's to a fantastic new beginning for your entire family. :)
ReplyDeleteGod always provides! So glad you're "back" :D
ReplyDeleteThe montage of photos is so representative of who you are. Isn't it nice that everything has falling into place? I've always been told that God helps those that help themselves, patience, prayer and persistence have gotten you to where you are now. Looks like you have resumed a more normal routine and can enjoy a calm, happy, less eventful time for a while.
ReplyDeleteI, too, have missed you but perfectly understand your not being around. You've moved, bought a home and are settling in and you've had family visiting and moving into your area too. You'll get into a groove again, in time.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Curt has a job and is working. God takes care of us at all times.
Have a wonderful week ~ FlowerLady
Yay to new beginnings! I look forward to hearing from you more consistently! :)
ReplyDeleteSandra...I absolutely love your header on the blog. So autumn like. I too get wrapped up in the busyness of life that I often forget to take time for the little things. It is always fun to catch up on friends; blogs, but at times I feel like I miss "milestones" I could have celebrated with them or struggles I could have supported and prayed them through.
ReplyDeleteJust remember that God is in control and our lifely struggles are very real to Him.
It's good to see you back again Sandra! I'm always amazed you manage to blog as regularly as you do! I'm terrible with posting regularly and yet have far less going on day to day than you seem to LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you find peace with your new chapter now it is truly settling in :) See you tomorrow for HHM! xx
Yepeee!! Congrats on the new job, jobs are so hard to come by these days. Miss your posts but a girl can only do so much, you have had your plate full
ReplyDeleteSo glad all is falling in to place for you. I love to pop over to your blog and see what you are up to. You take the loveliest photos and from one pug owner to another - aren't they just the funniest! xx
ReplyDeleteWell, it's obvious you have been missed but we all understand as well. I'm so glad everything is working out for you all.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Curt on the job and the retirement. Also, thank you, to Curt, you, and your wonderful children for all the years of service.
I always love your pictures. The picture of the bonnet is definitely my favorite though, either that or your sweet puppy.
I miss your regular blogging too but know how it goes! Can ou do me a favor? I looked through your blog and tried to search for it already but can't find it. Last year you talked aout tea bags based on tv shows....do you remember the name of the company? I want to order some as a gift and for the life of me cannot find anything online. Thanks!
