Good Morning dear friends, how was your weekend?
Mine was very good, filled with family and good food and a crazy soccer game. Oh my!!! Nerve wrecking, nail biting, craziness all rolled into 90 minutes.
Here we are again, Monday morning, and this time I'm back. Last week I couldn't put the post up as I was between houses and with NO internet, sorry about that. Alright, enough jabbering, let's just get on with it.
As I look outside my window:::
Gorgeous morning and currently 58 degrees. Oh it feels so good outside. There's a squirrel running across my fence and quite a few birds at my feeder.
Right now I am:::
Getting some love from my little Lola, drinking my coffee, typing up this post, and listening to the birds chirping outside.
Thinking and pondering:::
Honestly???? On nothing at the moment. That's new. Usually my mind just goes at a million miles an hour with so many things to think about, but at this very moment, nothing.
On my bedside table:::
My body lotion, candles for my wall hanging thingymabob, a few nails and screws and a hammer. HA!
On my tv this week:::

Homemaking tips:::
When you are grilling on the weekend, or whenever, throw in a few extra hotdog and hamburgers. You can just freeze them, and use them during the week for a quick lunch.
Looking around the house:::
It feels like home, my things are in place, my curtains are up and I just feel like I'm home, and that is a great feeling.
From the camera:::
Yesterday's game....half Americans and half Portuguese. Now THAT was fun!
Prayer List:::
Friends who are under spiritual attack.
Bible verse, Devotional:::
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 13:34-35
PLEASE, don't add links to this list that are not part of the Happy Homemaker Monday. I've asked numerous times, and I'm frankly quite tired of having to remove links to other posts that shouldn't be in this list. Please be respectful of my request!
What a game! I thought US had it for sure, but oops you were probably going for Portugal :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we grilled, we always cooked for the whole week. Steaks, hot dogs, shiskabobs, sausages, chicken.....I miss grilling. Maybe someday soon we can do that again.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Sandra! Mine looks to be a busy one once again.
Your picture is so great! Talk about a nail biter game. I still barely have a voice from all the screaming. I find gardening to be so nice and relaxing and fun even though I have a bit of a black thumb. I always try very hard but eventually I forget to water them or something. I always say it's because the plants don't beg and cry for food like my kids and pets do, so they get forgotten. Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been around for a while. I am happy to see you found a new home. It sounds like you are starting to get settled in. Yea!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't watch the game but we did catch last week's premier's of Dominion and The Last Ship. Oh my word!!! We are hooked it's nice to see some great t.v. for a change.
ReplyDeleteEspecially now that Supernatural is off air till next season starts.
We use the grilling more trick a lot. There are some weeks were we both know that neither of us will really be in the mood to cook so we grill enough on a Saturday evening to last us through till at least Thursday. We grill everything from burgers to chicken then store it for later.
Your menu sounds delicious! I watched part of the game. Couldn't believe the last goal!!
ReplyDeletePizza potato puff casserole? I really have to Google that one! Sounds sinfully divine!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
ps Thank you for the kind and encouraging words you left on my post from the other day :)

I am enjoying the gardening thing too. I only have 2 tomatoes and 2 cucumber plants but its something and I enjoy watching them grow every day.

So glad you are moved in! We haven't moved for 20 years and I would not be looking forward to it anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the kids:) Amazing how fast they are growing!!!
Have a great week!
I'm so glad you are enjoying your new home, settling in is always the best part.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't really football fans in our house but the sake of the WC we have watched a few games... sadly, and unsurprisingly, Englands performance has been pretty dismal, sounds like we'd have been better off watching USA vs Portugal!
Have a wonderful week xxx
I am so sad that I didn't get to participate this week, but we had orientation at my daughter's college which is 2.5 hours away. Our weather has been simply gorgeous this week. Glad to see you getting settled and look forward to more pictures! Hope your knee feels better quickly too. Take care of yourself!
