Family Dollar Haul and Weekly Meals in Review

Hello everyone, hope you're having a lovely Sunday.

I'm here to share with you a small Family Dollar Haul as well as my Weekly Meals in Review, I decided instead of doing two separate posts it would be easier to combine the two.  Now, I know it may be a bit of a long post but it will have a lot of photos so maybe it won't be so boring?

I surely hope not.

I'm going to start with the Haul.  I needed a few things for the house and Family Dollar was having a 50% sale so I popped in to take a look around and ended up getting everything I needed there.

The first thing that caught my eye wasn't even on my list, but it was just 4 dollars and it looked perfect for this Fall weather, so I picked up this scarf.

Also grabbed 3 Hydrangea bunches which I thought were also perfect for decorations.

More tissues, with this sinus thing I have going on, I've gone through so many tissues and was running low.

Air spray, and some Vienna sausages that I'm going to use as an appetizer for tonight's Walking Dead Premierie.  I'm going to turn them into fingers, yep you heard me right, fingers hahah

Vegetable oil, and some shower gel for my son

Needed new shower curtain for my bathroom and this one was on sale for $4

One of the main reasons I had to go out, even though I was running a fever and feeling terrible, was for some medication for the Sinus congestion and pain.

Cake mix, cream cheese frosting and some liners, I'm making some cupcakes for tonight's Walking Dead Premiere.  We love the show and have never missed one but I decided that today I would make it a little extra special and whip up some zombie inspired snacks to munch on while watching.  These will be turned into Brain Cupcakes.....I know it sounds terrible but I'll show you everything later :)

These were only a dollar each and I have been wanting to try gel nail polish for a while but really didn't want to pay the 8 dollars that they usually go for.  These were less than a dollar.  I am already wearing the beautiful pink one and loving it.

Haven't bought candles in forever, so picked up a Pumpkin Spice and a Cinnamon Bun which I think are perfect scents for this season.

Lastly, I needed a laundry basket for my bathroom, so picked this one up, and also needed a mop and some toilet paper.

You know even though we've been here 4 months, there are still so many things that I have to buy for the new house, things that I had back in Idaho but had to leave behind.

So that was my Family Dollar Haul.

Now onto the Weekly Meals in Review, just a quick peek at what we enjoyed this past week for dinner.

Saturday 10th
Out to dinner as I was not feeling well and hubby didn't want me to cook, so he took us to Chili's.  I had a Guacamole Burger which was delicious.

I'm still not feeling well, I think I may have the beginning of a Sinus Infection so I'm going to keep an eye on it, and if needed make an appointment to the doctor for some antibiotics.

Taking it very easy today, just going to make the snacks for the show and also making Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes for dinner.  I'm taking the Sudafed and it is helping a bit so I think I'll be able to get all this done, if need be I know Jasmine will jump in and help me.

Alright friends, I hope you're having a blessed Sunday.  I'm going to work on this stuff and also try and get a Menu Plan ready for the next week while catching up on some shows on the TV.

  3. Good to know I'm not the only Family Dollar-aholic LOL! I don't buy a lot there but anything non-food it's my go to place. I haven't bought any food there, haven't taken the time to compare prices/size with the grocery store.

  4. Hi,

Great to know I'm not by any means the only Family Dollar-aholic LOL! I don't purchase a great deal there yet anything non-sustenance it's my go to put. I haven't purchased any sustenance there, haven't set aside an ideal opportunity to look at costs/size with the market.

    Regards,

  5. Two other great deals at our dollar store here, are the waxed paper and parchment paper. If you do a lot of baking during the holiday, it'll save you some money. Hope you are feeling better soon.
