Welcome to another Cooking Thursday!!
I have to tell you, I almost forgot about this hahah I haven't done it in so long that I was going about my day, and then all of a sudden it hit me and I scrambled to the couch and onto my computer.
I think it's going to take a bit for me to get back in the swing of things, so please bear with me, and if I forget a feature on a specific day, let me know on Facebook, I'll be sure to come and get it posted :)
So for today's recipe I decided to tell you how I made my Sloppy Joe Sliders. I served them for dinner a few nights ago, it was one of the days that I was feeling really unwell with a headache, and wanted something quick and easy.
I don't even have an actual recipe for you, it's *THAT* easy to throw together.
I used a pound of ground beef and made my usual homemade sloppy joes, you can also use the canned sloppy joe mix if you wish. Just make the meat however you make it.
Next I placed 12 dinner rolls on a greased aluminum foil sheet, on a baking sheet. I spread the meat mixture over the rolls, then topped it with sliced pepper jack cheese (it's what I had on hand, but you can use your favorite). I placed the tops on the rolls, then in a separate small bowl, I melted about 4 tablespoons of melted butter, added in some parmesan cheese, about 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, some mustard and a little garlic powder. I brushed this mixture on top of the rolls, then baked them at 350 for about 10 minutes, just long enough for the cheese to melt and the tops to get nice and brown.
That's it!!! Easy peasy :)
Oh, I just made sloppy joes! But yours are an extra premium version of sloppy joes! I like your additions and will try it next time! Your cooking always looks so good. Andrea
ReplyDeleteThis looks like the popular ham and cheese sliders recipe that's going around - the one where you just slice the whole package of dinner rolls horizontally, lay your filling inside, add the top later of rolls, brush with butter and spices and/or seeds, and bake. I love Sloppy Joe's and this looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat looks WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds so good! And what a fun way to make them! I'm planning on making some baked slider burgers this weekend. ;) Thanks for sharing and so happy you're back to this for Thursdays!! Yay! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love making sliders like this! I've done a few versions, but never this type. I'll be making them for sure! Thanks Sandra!
