{ Sunday of reorganizing }
It's Sunday night, oh my word, the weekend is already gone and tomorrow Monday is knocking at our door.
I would say I didn't want it here but I do get my baby girl back, so I'm happy for that :)
I spent a day just reorganizing, moving things around and plain homemaking.
Laundry was done, things were tidied up, pictures were put up, some were taken down, some were moved from one living room to another. We also took all out DVD's and move them to one of the big closets. We have quite a collection that we've accrued over the years and frankly they don't get watched much if at all lately. They're just in the way and not really contributing anything to the decor.
So hubby and I removed them all, and replaced their empty shelves with books. Now there's something that never goes out of fashion and I'm just recently getting back into my reading mood which seems to have disappeared a few years ago, honestly.
I mean I do read still but it's not that love for reading that I used to have, the one where I could just inhale books and no matter where I was or what I was doing, a book was always nearby.
I've missed that and I'm really trying to get it back.
The shelf on the left is a work in progress, I'm not done with it nor do I really know what I want to do with it, as in what I want to put on it. I'll figure it out this week.
My stash of crocheted blankets is once again growing. I sold a few when we left Idaho and I miss them so much, I need to remake a few, so I'm hoping this year I can do that :)
I also pulled out some of my fabric quarters to make some bunting for the living room. It is after all almost Spring and I'm ready to get it all pretty and cute looking.
I'll pull out my sewing machine tomorrow and get to work, it shouldn't take me too long.
Right now I'm settling in to watch Walking Dead and paint my nails. I am going to do the pink and then maybe some white polka dots maybe on my thumbs and ring fingers, not sure yet, will see what I feel like.
Just had to show you my view right now. There's moments when the light catches just perfectly and you're left with a beautiful sight on what could otherwise be a plain looking scene. Often it is towards the end of the day, when the sun starts setting.
It's cozy, it's definitely Hygge. It makes me smile :)
I love the look of all your books neatly arranged.....your crocheted blankets are beautiful, a cute ladder against the wall with them hanging from it would so adorable.....
ReplyDeleteI've been cleaning and organizing as well...I'm finding less is better...I hate clutter....it feels good to have the rooms open and bright.....can not wait to see your bunting you're making.....
Enjoy your day, happy you're getting Jasmine back home....
Blessings
Rhonda
Those pale blue fabric quarters are gorgeous - they will make beautiful spring bunting.
