Good morning everyone, hope you've had a wonderful weekend.
Mine was a mix of busy and quiet, with Saturday being my busy on the go, getting tons done and yesterday more quiet and relaxed.
This week I have a few projects to do around the house and also finish off school with the kids, so it's set to be a busy one.
The weather:::
It's been gorgeous the past week, a lot of wind though which has made my allergies impossible to deal with, but high temps, sunny and wonderful nights to sit out on the patio. High of 86 today and pretty much the same all week.
On my reading pile:::
The Marriage Bureau by Penrose Halson.
I'm thinking of doing a Summer Reading List for 2017, if any of you are interested in joining in and sharing your summer reading too. Let me know.
Movies or Shows I watched this weekend:::
Nothing really, I was so busy all weekend, but I did have the ID Discovery Channel on the TV and watched a few interesting shows here and there.
On my TV:::
General Hospital
Dr Phil
Fear Thy Neighbor
See no Evil
Murder comes to Town
Reasonable Doubt
The White Princess
The Handmaid's Tale
Once Upon a Time Season 6
On the menu for this week:::
Monday
Ham Steaks, Twice Baked Potatoes
Tuesday
Chicken and Dumplings
Wednesday
Cheesy Sausage Potato Casserole, Green Beans
Thursday
Beef Tikka Masala, Rice
Friday
BBQ at my brother's house
Saturday
Rafter J's with the family
Sunday
Not sure yet, have to work on the new menu plan
On my to do list:::
Laundry......Kid's washing today
Living rooms.... vacuuming, dusting, tidying up.
Kitchen..... dishes, empty dishwasher, clean counters, take out meat for dinner, bake bread.
School..... Start finishing off for the year
Crochet.... Still haven't made a single square for this week's Nuts about Squares CAL.
Outside.... Riding mower broke for good, the actual engine is gone. We had to buy a push mower which is going to be a royal pain for the 3 acres we have, but you gotta do what you gotta do. This morning I'm mowing the whole right side of the house.
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Like I said above, haven't made not even the first square for last week. I don't know if I'm going to get to it, I didn't particularly like the square for Week 6, so I may find a different one to make for the blanket.
Have the Mandala Madness still going and I also have another Pondoland Square on the hooks.
Looking around the house:::
It's tidy, I don't have much to pick up. The only thing that is in dire need of a clean and tidy are the kid's bedrooms, but they need to do that.
From the camera:::
Made some cast iron buttermilk biscuits for breakfast yesterday.
What I'm wearing today:::
In my pj's at the moment since it's just shy of 7am and hubby just left for work. I'll be putting on some shorts and a tank to get the mowing done.
One of my simple pleasures:::
Believe it or not, mowing. I find it extremely relaxing, I just enjoy being out there mowing early morning.
Inspirational Quote, Bible verse, anything you want to share:::
The Simply Linked I use for the link up is not loading and it's been giving me issues the past week, so I'm going to try Mister Linky again. I hope it works, if it doesn't I don't know what I'm going to do, I'll have to find a different link up tool. Sorry about that.
Love the idea of a summer reading list! I also love mowing the lawn (although only with a push mower)and find it relaxing, always thought I was the only one. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteMister Linky works, it just doesn't show up at the bottom of your blog post. You can't see the other participants until you actually click on it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pamela.

ReplyDeleteThose buttermilk biscuits look heavenly!
ReplyDeleteYou should try local to you pure honey for allergies. We started taking 2 tablespoons of honey every night for allergies and it has been so helpful. Plus it tastes so much better than store bought!
