Happy Homemaker Monday - 03/19/2018

Good morning and Happy Monday!!!

How was your weekend everyone?  I sure do hope you had a restful one and that your new work week goes well.

I apologize for not updating my blog very often, there's just too much going on at the moment.  I also want to thank you all for continuing to participate in this little feature here on the blog, for always joining in and commenting and supporting me, even when I'm not here as much as I used to.  Thank you, really :)

The weather outside is::::
Weather is driving me insane.  We had 85 degree weather on Friday, 40 on Saturday and 71 on Sunday.  Not even sure what to say anymore at this point hahaha

If I have a few minutes to myself, I will::::
I've had to put the Elements CAL on pause until I can get more yarn.  Checked my Walmart and they didn't have any.  So frustrating.  But I've been using my stash leftover yarn, to make a Spicier Life blanket and absolutely loving it.  It's very spring like and easy and quick to work up.

What I'm sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating::::
Made a blanket for my niece's baby girl.  Also working on the Spicier Life blanket, and have started my seeds growing.

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::
I had a craving for one of my favorite childhood treats.  I remember living in Portugal and always getting one of these when we would go to a local bakery.  I will have the recipe up on the blog later.  Also made the fish stew and will have that recipe up as well, along with the one for the Lemon Pepper Chicken.  So lots of updates coming up on the food blog today.

Favorite photo from the camera::::
Woke up to a low fog the other morning and it was truly one of the most beautiful sights ever.  I know that fog can sometimes look gloomy and scary to some, but I find it to be gorgeous.  It was low to the ground, just covering the road and the fields around us.

Bible Verse, Devotional::::
Have you ever heard of the pocket prayer?  Max Lucado talks about it in one of his books, and it's just a simple prayer.  When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray like He did, and what Jesus then did was teach them an easy, portable and repeatable prayer.  Simple but effective.

Father, You are good.

I need help. Heal me and forgive me.

They need help.

Thank you.

In Jesus’ Name, amen.

  4. Have a great week! I saw last week a CAL where you don't know what it looks like until you finish... it was for both knit and crochet. Seems liked lots of fun. I think it was with Marly bird.
