I would give you three guesses as to how I'm feeling, but I'm pretty sure you can all guess in ONE try. Tired!!!!
You are a winner, and you, and you in the back there. Hahah
As usual I didn't get very good sleep last night, so I'm feeling it this morning, and it doesn't help that it is absolutely freezing today.
Anyway, let's get cracking with our HHM and see what is going on in our households
The weather outside is::::
Freezing, it is currently 38 with a real feel of 29. Welcome winter, and thanks Texas for skipping right from summer high 90's to wintery cold 30's. This weather is so confused, and it's not just Texas to be honest, it seems to be all over the world.
On the breakfast plate this morning::::
I'm enjoying a second cup of coffee, because it's needed this morning, and because I'm cold and it is the best thing on a cold morning. I just had some toast as well, that I had to share with Marley, of course.
As I look outside my window:::
Tree branches are waving about in the wind, the skies are a deep grey at the moment, in places looking purple.
Right now I am::::
Working on this blog post and watching Claire Witt's Weekly Vlog on Youtube3.
As I look around the house::::
It is pretty dark in here even though it's practically 9am. I wanted to put out more Fall decorations but haven't gotten around to doing it, and not sure if I will. I remember when I used to go all out for Halloween and decorate everything. I stopped doing that years ago when the kids got older and weren't interested in Trick or Treating or anything of the sort.
On today's to do list::::
Laundry....it is all done, so I don't have to worry about that.Cleaning....In the kitchen, I just unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher. I don't have enough dishes to run a load so I'll leave it until tonight's dinner dishes and then run it. Counters are clean and tidy, so the kitchen is done.
In the living rooms....need to vacuum and dust.
In the bedrooms....Already made my bed, opened the blinds and curtains. The kids do their own bedrooms.
Homeschooling....We will be on Fall Break from Wednesday until Monday. Not a very long break but that's fine.
Crocheting and kniting....Still stuck on the Ubuntu CAL, but mainly because I'm enjoying my knitting right now and I needed a break.
Cooking.....I have leftover Leek and Potato Soup for lunch. For dinner I'm making a new recipe, which is the Chicken CrunchWrap, I'm looking forward to trying that.
Also need to bake some bread today.

Prayers, Inspirational Quotes or Devotionals::::
PLEASE, don't add links to this list that are not part of the Happy Homemaker Monday. I've asked numerous times, and I'm frankly quite tired of having to remove links to other posts that shouldn't be in this list. Please be respectful of my request!
I hope you get some rest soon - it's never fun to start the week already tired. Sorry to hear you skipped fall - I know it's one of your favorite seasons. We've been having seriously cold and frosty nights, but the days have been absolutely beautiful. Interesting inspirational quote - seriously thought provoking. Have a GREAT week.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the Chicken Fajita Crunchwrap recipe!
ReplyDeletegirl, why aren't you able to rest? It's so hard when we can't recharge with sleep. I have not tried it, but in lots of states, CBD oil helps people to rest, my friend uses it as it's legal in CO. Hope you have a great week, and thank you for the prompts as they help me to look at life differently. LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteThat recipe sounds good. Hope you can get some rest. have a great week
ReplyDeleteHope you get some better sleep tonight! I've been trying to put out my outside fall decorations for a week now but between the rain and now cold, not sure I'm going to do it either. It was a bit more fun when the kids were younger. Now I mainly do it for myself. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI hear you, Sandra...straight from summer to winter and skipping autumn altogether! Crazy! Leek and potato soup sounds good. With all this cold weather I'm really looking forward to a variety of soups and stews in the days ahead. Get some rest and have a blessed week ahead! <3
ReplyDeleteHave you started Marilla of Green Gables yet? I really want to know if it's as good as I hope it is going to be! We were *real feel* of 29 when I got up this morning. I love it! But don't tell anyone :)
