{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 12/24/2018 }

Good morning everyone and a Merry Christmas Eve :)

I'm sorry I've been missing from the blog, just had a lot going on and haven't had a chance to be online.

I just walked into my kitchen to start my baking and cooking, but I wanted to come in first and get this post up for you all.  Wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!!

The weather outside is::::
We are going to be in the 50s today and the rest of the week, and it looks like we may get some thunderstorms tomorrow and Wednesday as well, so I'm looking forward to that.

On the breakfast plate this morning::::
I had a cup of coffee and a cheese and ham quesadilla.  I'm out of bread and haven't had a chance to make more, so just used what I had on hand.

As I look outside my window:::
Blue skies and bright sun shining, honestly doesn't seem like Christmas weather at all.

Right now I am::::
In bed.  It is 11:25 and I'm in bed.  I was up at 7:30am and in the kitchen getting all my baking and cooking done.  Unfortunately Jasmine is really sick with a bad cold and last night my throat started hurting again, I'm feeling really unwell this morning which is not what I had in mind for our Christmas Eve get together.  Going to try and feel better so that I can handle family dinner tonight.   .

As I look around the house::::
Aside from out Christmas tree and the presents under it, it doesn't really feel like it's Christmas.  I don't know what is going on but the past few years Christmas hasn't felt the same and it's sad to me because we were such a huge Christmas family.  My wonderful husband has carpet cleaned the house for me which has helped a lot.

On today's to do list::::
Christmas baking and cooking
Carpet cleaning
Set up for Christmas Eve get together tonight

  2. I know what you mean, feeling like Christmas... I've felt like that a long time now. I wonder what would make it feel more like it should in my heart?? LeeAnna
