{ Productive Day }
You ever wake up with the yearning to change things, organize or clean?
It's a little weird, I guess, but there are days that before I even get out of bed, I have a set idea in my head of what I want to accomplish that day and I just have to do it.
Before I got up today, I decided that I was going to switch my bedroom around, move the bed from one wall to the other, vacuum, dust and give everything a really good cleaning.
I don't know why, but I just decided that I had to do it. So I got up, and got to work immediately. It didn't take me very long, only about an hour and a half, but I gave everything a very good clean, cleaned the fan above the bed, dusted the shelves, the tv, the bed, all the pictures and window sills.
Once the bedroom was done, I could have walked away, but I felt like I was on a roll, and so I moved into the master closet and started reorganizing and refolding my husband's drawers. I'll work on mine tomorrow, but at least for now, his side is all done.
I also went ahead and refolded and reorganized my dining table placemats and tablecloths, so that now I can easily find what I'm looking for. I have so many, and sometimes when I ask one of the kids or the husband to grab one, they have no clue where they are and end up making a mess of the drawers just looking for one thing.
Finished all the laundry, got the dishes done and the kitchen clean and once all the housework was complete, I sat down for a bit with to work on my crochet blanket. Oh my goodness, I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying this pattern, it's so easy, and the blanket is soft and just beautiful.
However, I am running out of yarn so this weekend I'll have to grab one more skein of each. If you're wondering what I'm using, I'm working with the Walmart Super Saver worsted weight yarn. I would love to be able to splurge on all sorts of gorgeous yarns, but I can't justify it at all, so I stick with the cheapest I can find and so far, I've had no issues.
With all the cleaning I had done, and the dusting specifically, my allergies went beserk and so I had to take a Benadryl which as you already know, knocks me out after twenty minutes or so.
I ended up falling asleep on the couch for 30 minutes, then got up and went straight to the kitchen to start dinner. Honestly, I didn't feel like cooking at all, I was still groggy and tired from the very short nap, this is the reason I don't like taking naps in the afternoon, I always wake up super cranky.
But, I set that feeling aside and got to work fixing dinner.
Tonight we enjoyed some Navajo Tacos, also known as Indian Fry Tacos, or Indian Fry Bread.
So delicious, and I just realized I don't have the recipe up on the food blog yet, so I'll get that up for you all in the morning.
Right now I need to go and blow dry my hair, I washed it when I took my shower and have it up in a towel but I hate the feeling of wet hair and a wet towel.
The rest of the night I'm going to watch a few episodes of Evil Lives Here (crime show that interviews family members of some of the most known killers, it's quite interesting), and then try and finish reading With This Pledge.
Have a wonderful night everyone :)
There is nothing quite like the feeling of being productive. Sounds like you had a productive day getting rearranging and cleaning. Your Navajo tacos look delicious. I'll have to keep my eye out for the recipe. --Andrea
