I opened the door for Marley to go potty this morning, and was slapped in the face with the coldest of icy wind, definite chill to the bone. Hubby is off to work, and I am going to sit down and get this post up, then brave the cold and go to the pharmacy to pick up our med.
Have a wonderful blessed week, friends!!!
The weather outside is::::
Cold! It is 32 degrees at the moment with a real feel of 22. Yeah, that should tell you something. It looks like we are heading for a much cooler week, and that's ok, considering we've had day in the mid 70's. Monday - AM clouds/PM sun, 43
Tuesday - Sunny, 51
Wednesday - Sunny, 56
Thursday - Partly cloudy, 55
Friday - Mostly Sunny, 56
Saturday - Mostly Sunny, 62
Sunday - Sunny, 67
On the breakfast plate this morning::::
Just finished my first cup of coffee, matter of fact I reached over and took a huge gulp of cold coffee. Yuck!I haven't been eating much for breakfast lately, but I think today I will have a bowl of oatmeal, it will warm me up before I brave the weather outside.
As I look outside my window:::
The Christmas lights are on. It is super dark outside still, so can't really see anything yet.
Right now I am::::
Sitting in bed, have the small heater going in the corner. I am working on this post and waiting for daylight to peek through the dark clouds.
As I look around the house::::
It is dark, but the fireplace village and twinkly lights are on. I think it's one of my favorite things about Winter time and especially the holidays. I love twinkly fairy lights and this time of the year makes everything look so pretty and cosy.
On today's to do list::::
Laundry....Have one load of whites to wash. Cleaning....Vacuum, dust, sweep and mop kitchen and bathrooms. I am also going full steam ahead with the painting in the kitchen.
Cooking.....For lunch, both kids are home so it will either be tuna salad, or I might do some chicken sandwiches. I like to keep chicken patties on hand for a quick and easy lunch. For dinner, I'm making Poor Man's Steak with Mushroom sauce, Mashed Potatoes and a Salad.
On this week's to do list::::
Monday - Pick up meds at pharmacy. I have been putting it off for a while because I really, and I mean really dislike the way the base pharmacy works now. It's just a pain in the behind and you end up spending at least an hour or more waiting.
Tuesday - Take Jasmine to work.
Wednesday - Take Jasmine to work, continue painting in the kitchen.
On the menu this week::::
Monday - Poor Man's Steak, Mushroom Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Salad

Wednesday - Stuffed Bread Rolls, Fries
Thursday - Lemon Chicken with Noodles
Friday - Supreme Pizza Rings
Saturday -Pork Roast, Roast Potatoes, Steamed Broccoli

Prayers, Inspirational Quotes or Devotionals::::
"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying,
that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God,
whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour,
and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:"
Ephesians 4:29-31
* The past few weeks I have had to go in and delete links that are NOT related to Happy Homemaker Monday. Folks, I have asked repeatedly to not add random links to other posts on your blogs, or just a link to your blog in general. It is a lot of work for me to sit and go through and manually delete them from the linky, and it's also incredibly rude to the other participants who are just looking for the Happy Homemaker Monday posts. Please be respectful!!!
The menu sounds yummy! I also have Virgin River on my watch list, I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteTurning on the tree lights is the first thing I do too. I love to sit in the dark in the wee hours of the morning and just stare at them as I work on the computer and sip coffee when I can. We've been having meds mailed when we can - so much simpler than the pharmacy and only takes an extra day (at least here) while saving me the trip into town - hope you feel better soon! Have a WONDERFUL week.
ReplyDeleteOatmeal is a great cold morning breakfast. Think I may go have a bowl in a minute. Hope your wait at the pharmacy isn't too long and that you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteYour meal plan for the week has my mouth watering. I love that pattern you are working on and hope you'll post the finished product as I'm sure it will be beautiful! Hope you and the family are doing well. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteLast year I decided to keep the fairy lights on the mantel... and I love it! this year I will keep some in the kitchen too. Have a great week
ReplyDeleteI love the twinkly lights, too. The early morning is my favorite time of day. It is so quiet and spiritual. Your menu sounds divine. You are motivating me to do my housework.
ReplyDeleteI love to just sit by the twinkling lights. It's so calming. Who are you watching for Vlogmas?
