{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 10/25/2021 }

Good morning everyone, wishing you all a blessed week ahead.

I know I haven't been around the blog much the past two weeks, other than the Happy Homemaker Monday posts.  I've already explained that it's been super busy around here, and I don't want to keep repeating that over and over.  I think at this point we're all sick of hearing it  Hahaha

Thankfully Jasmine's driving school is done, so I'll definitely have more time to devote to the blog and my home.  Very happy about that.

I sure hope you're all doing well, again thank you for always stopping by and leaving such kind comments.  They mean the world to me.

Now, let's see what's happening in our Happy Homemaker Monday.

♥♥The Weather♥♥
I am loving all the cooler temperatures, it's been wonderful.  Crisp cool mornings, and then 70s in the afternoon.  I think if I were to pick my perfect every day weather, this would be it.

♥♥How I am feeling this morning♥♥
I'm doing good, slept really well which is always a plus.

♥♥On my mind♥♥
I got bit on my middle finger, right on the knuckle, about 2 weeks ago or so, and now I'm dealing with some pain.  I can't see anything, other than a small red spot where the bit was, but my knuckle is a bit swollen and my finger seems to get really stiff and sore when I sleep.  Through the day, the pain goes away completely though.  I am actually wondering if I am not dealing with arthritis.

If any of you have arthritis, was this how it started for you?  What can I do to help the pain?

 ♥♥On the breakfast plate♥♥
Cup of coffee with vanilla creamer.  Will have some toast later.

♥♥Right now I am♥♥
Working on this post, while watching Monsters Inside:  The 24 faces of Billy Milligan, on Netflix.  Have any of you watched it?  I've heard so much about it.

♥♥On my reading pile♥♥
I am now in James in the Bible.
Also reading The Last Tudor by Phillipa Gregory.

♥♥On today's to do list♥♥
We had family over for dinner last night, so I need to get the house back in order from that.  By the time they left, it was quite late, almost 10pm, so I picked up the essential and left the rest for today.

  • Pull out the leaves from the table and put them away
  • Vacuum and dust
  • Change bed linens

A bit of a tip.  Needs some tidying and cleaning today.
Curt is at work, both kids are still sleeping, though Jasmine will be up soon for work.

♥♥New recipe I tried last week, or one that we really enjoyed♥♥
For the family dinner last night, I made these delicious pork chops in a creamy oregano sauce, some basmati rice and roasted Brussells Sprouts with bacon.

♥♥To relax this week, I will♥♥
Still need to make my door wreath.  But, will definitely be reading this week, I'm trying to get back into my reading routine.

♥♥On my prayer list♥♥
My sister in law, she has 5 treatments left.
For the sale of our house in Oklahoma, to go through smoothly and soon.

  1. Will be thinking of your sister-in-law. Was it a cat bite? they can infect quickly.
    Have a good week

  2. Hi Sweetie!
I hope life does slow down for you and you get to rest more. Buffalo chicken pasta sounds yummy - and intriguing! 😉 Was it a bug bite? You may want to get checked for lymes? Continued prayers for your SIL 🙏
Have a wonderful week ahead. xo

  3. Sandra, redness and swelling 2 weeks after a bite can be anything from an allergic reaction to insect venom to an infection, if you haven’t already, I’d recommend taking a photo of it with your cell phone and emailing it to your family doctor to see what he or she thinks

  7. I hope your finger gets better soon. You may need an injection if it's infected.

  8. Sure hope that bite is getting better. Maybe you should see someone about it if it's that persistent. Hope your week is going well - we're still on the road so I'll check back in a few days.
