{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 10/21/2024 }

Good morning dear friends, and a happy Monday to you all.

I just saw Curt off to work, made a second cup of coffee and some breakfast, and am now back in the bedroom where it's nice and cozy, to sit down and get this post up.  It's actually going up earlier than usual, so I'm pleased with that.

I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend, and I wish you all a very happy and blessed week ahead!

*** The weather in my neck of the woods***
It's been perfect, save for the hot afternoons here and there.  The mornings are just what I enjoy, crisp, cool but not horridly cold yet.

Monday - Generally clear, 88
Tuesday - Sunny, 92
Wednesday - Mostly Sunny, 94
Thursday - Sunny, 92
Friday - Sunny, 87
Saturday - Mostly Sunny, 80
Sunday - Mostly Sunny, 85

*** Things that make me happy ***
Fall mornings, opening the window and letting in the crisp air.

*** Book I'm reading ***
Book of Romans, in the Bible.

Put The Thirteenth Tale aside, just not in the mood for a scary book of any kind.  For a physical book I grabbed Woven in Moonlight by Isabel Ibanez.

On my Kindle, I started Beauty and the Beast (Faerie Tale Collection Book 1)  It is currently available for 99c on the Kindle as an audiobook, if any of you are interested.

*** What's on my tv today ***
Vlogtober Videos on YouTube.
The Great British Baking Show on Netflix.

*** On the breakfast plate ***
Had a cup of coffee at 5am and just had another with 2% milk and Splenda.  I haven't had coffee creamer since January, and honestly don't miss it at all.

*** On the lunch plate ***
Tuna chickpea salad.

*** On the dinner plate ***
Sausage and Kale Stuffed Spaghetti Squash.

*** On the menu ***
Will be starting the new meal plan on Wednesday, so you know the drill, only meals on here will be for today and tomorrow.

Monday
Sausage and Kale Stuffed Spaghetti Squash
Tuesday
Cabbage Roll Casserole, Salad

*** On my to do list ***
Usual cleaning.
Bible reading, devotional.
Nordic Crochet Blanket.
Meal plan and grocery list,

*** New Recipe I tried or want to try ***
I made a Keto Pizza last week that I really enjoyed.  Still have 2 pieces in the freezer.  It was very easy to make and it certainly helps cut down on the carbs.  I posted the recipe for you all over on the food blog.

*** What I am creating ***
Still working on the Nordic Winter Afghan.  I have a few projects on the go, but I decided to focus on one and set the others aside for the moment.  Sometimes I can handle a few at a time, but there are times that I just can't, and I will start feeling overwhelmed so it's best to focus on a single one.

*** No words needed (favorite photo or picture) ***
Love this photo, though I do believe this may be Red Nightshade which is poisonous.  We have a selection of weeds on our property and some are beautiful, but deadly, so we're always on the lookout to remove those so that none of the animals get to them.

*** Devotional, Prayers, Bible Verses ***
I hope you've all been praying for your husbands along with me.  I know it's taken over the blog the past month, but it's so important to specifically pray on certain areas of their lives.

  1. I so hope you get some rain soon also, but at least your mornings are cool and crisp. While we're still planning on returning to Texas I will miss the fall and winter here. That does have a red nightshade look to it, but the berries are clumped tighter than I've seen. Pretty, but I hope the animals give it a wide berth. Have a wonderful week my friend.

  3. Thanks for stopping by! Yes, the girls are growing fast.
I always enjoy the Great British Baking Show. That books sounds like one I would like too. I've never seen nightshade, but it really is a pretty flower!
