{ Happy Homemaker Monday - March 21}

I've decided to make a new button for the Happy Homemaker Monday, feel free to replace the old one OR keep it, it's up to you :)

I'm also changing some of the categories and adding new ones, if you've already done yours that's fine, you can just join in next week with the new one :)

The weather in my neck of the woods:

Things that make me happy:
Building things for my home, woodworking, painting, putting work into something that I can then display in my house. Makes me really happy.

Book I'm reading:
An Absence so Great by Jane Kirkpatrick - For a review next week, I'm loving it already even though I just started the book this weekend.

What I'm enjoying on TV:
Lark Rise to Candleford Season 3
Stargate Atlantis - What can I say I'm a Sci Fi geek
The Pacific - New HBO series about World War II, it just started and only the first episode is available, but it's amazing, I highly recommend it.

On the menu for dinner:
Cheeseburger Pie - Will have recipe up on the food blog later

On my To Do List:
Iron laundry and put away
Mop
Wash bed sheets
Finish painting some primitive signs and shelves

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
Crockpot Nachos....YUMMY is all I'll say, if you want the recipe go on over to Full Bellies, Happy Kids.

In the craft basket:
Spring crochet coasters

Looking forward to this week:
Though I will miss my kids as they return to school, I'm looking forward to some time alone with my sewing and crafting.

Tips and Tricks:
To remove those tough stains from the bottom of a glass vase, just fill with water and add two Alka-Seltzer tablets!

My favorite blog post this week:
All my Spring Break posts, they may not mean much to anyone else but for me it's a record of my children and something that I'll one day enjoy rereading.

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):
Gumbo Lily - I found this blog last week and I'm so glad I did, I love it and I think my readers will enjoy it too.

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):
Just love this photo, I found it while browsing wallpapers online.

Lesson learned the past few days:
To enjoy every single minute with my children, make every hour count.

On my mind:
My brother and sister in law's visit in June, I'm just beyond thrilled right now, I can't wait.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Psalm 37:5-6
Romans 15:13

  1. Hi Sandra,
Here I am again in your Happy Homemaker Monday. I just love your blog but lately I haven't been reading, commenting or posting much. And I'm not posting in English most of the time.
I enjoyed reading your list and keep blogging because you're such an inspiration.
    Blessings
    Lara

  3. With my oldest visiting here this week I am reminded of the lesson to enjoy every minute with my children too. The time goes so fast when she'll be heading back to school and it's a reminder to enjoy the kids still at home too before they also are all grown up and off to school and their lives.

Love your spring picture, I could just imagine skipping happily down this road with the sun shining and a cool breeze blowing. All the while eating a yummy ice cream cone.
