{ Bake me a Wish - Mother's Day Monday Giveaway }

Contest is over....thank you all who entered!

I am such a sucker for cake and especially for chocolate!

So when I got an email from Bake me a Wish asking if I wanted to participate in a special Mother's Day Bake me a Wish Giveaway, I said YES, of course, I mean, I love cake BUT more than that, I love what this company does.
Bake Me a Wish! is the premium nationwide service for delivery of gourmet birthday cakes. Our cakes are made with only the finest, freshest ingredients by an award-winning family run New York bakery that also supplies pastries to some of Manhattan’s most elite restaurants.
They also have a great program called Operation Birthday Cake where 5 % of your order goes towards Operation Birthday Cake which partnered with Soldier's Angels donates a birthday cake each month to soldier's overseas.

It's easy to get caught up in our own lives and to sometimes forget that we have soldiers overseas, far away from family, fighting in a war and many times their birthday's go unnoticed. So to know that there is a company out there willing to bring a little bit of happiness to their lives is touching. As a military wife, I thank them from the bottom of my heart!

For more information on Bake me a Wish, be sure to check out their website, their blog, their twitter and their Facebook page.

After agreeing to do this, I was shocked that a day later, I had a knock at the door and there stood the UPS man with a box for me. Inside it was the most delicious, decadent chocolate cake I have ever come across.

It came packaged in dry ice, perfectly wrapped and looking delicious.

It lasted exactly two days in my household....yeah, two days before everything was gone but the pretty box it came in.

  4. It looks as though they did an amazing job wrapping and shipping that cake, if it arrived at your home in such perfect condition. I'm very impressed.

    My personal favorite would be the Tiramisu Classico. But my whole family could agree on the Chocolate Mousse Torte, so I'd go with that one.

    Thanks for the chance to win.
