{ Happy Homemaker's Monday }

hhm

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Deep blue skies, but, an annoying wind which has prevailed for weeks now, I'm SO sick of it.

Things that make me happy:
Spending Mother's Day with my husband and children

Book I'm reading:
Hattie Big Sky - Almost done with this one and love love love love it.

What I'm enjoying on TV:
Weird or What
Ancient Aliens

On the menu for dinner:
chicken a la King, mashed potatoes

On my To Do List:
Iron and put away laundry
Change bed linens
Sweep
Mop

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
Not new, but Portuguese Kabobs I've been making for a while. Go on over to the food blog for the recipe. Turkey, Chourico and Bacon Kabobs.

In the craft basket:
Folk Dolls

Looking forward to this week:
Enjoying more time outside in the patio, Kid's Field Day at school.

Tips and Tricks:
Catch up now on all laundry and once you're caught up, do one load a day, every day. You'll never fall behind again!

My favorite blog post this week:
I've done no blog reading this past week, really haven't had a chance, hopefully today after all my housework I can sit down and do just that.

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):

Lesson learned the past few days:
Align CenterThat everyone can grow plants, yes, I know, shocked. Only have to pay attention and dedicate yourself to the project. I can now tell you all that every single seed I planted two weeks ago is growing beautifully. I'm so proud of myself, I'll have to show you them all later.

On my mind:
My brother's visit to the States in 4 weeks. YES, 4 weeks, I'm so excited.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:

Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life.
Proverbs 22:4

  2. I love that picture!

I hate the windy days too. It's been like that around here recently. My fear is that the wind will get so bad that a tree will fall on the house. The other night a heard and felt one hit the ground. Scary!
