Woke up two days ago to everything covered in snow. I didn't even know we were expecting any, such is the crazy weather here.
But it does provide us with such beautiful shots. Matter of face, the minute it starts snowing, I'm making sure my camera is charged and ready to go.
A quick glance down our street, I love this neighborhood, it's so quiet.
Save for a cow mooing here or there....this photo just gives me the giggle, I don't know why, I think it's the white covered face, she was looking down for the longest time and then suddenly popped her head up to look at me and it just cracked me up.
It was the perfect snowball and snowman making snow...if you know what I mean. It's got to be just right or it doesn't work, and this one was just right.
Don't know about you all but I wouldn't want to be pelted with THIS size snowball LOL
There can never be a single snowman making session that comprises of JUST making the snowman, because there is always a sneaky someone throwing some stuff around.
Here is my Nicholas getting one to the noggin from his Uncle Miguel.....
The task at hand was eventually completed, and boy was that one big snowman.
The rest of the day was spent indoors staying warm, and I of course, enjoying my crochet.
And to quickly show you how my Crochet Mood Blanket is coming along...
The first week is already joined and I am so in love with it already :)
Right, well now I must get off, it's dinner time and then I'm taking a very hot shower to help my pulled neck muscle and getting into bed to binge watch Heroes with the hubster. My kind of Friday night.
What a great post and I enjoyed seeing the snowman.
ReplyDeleteYour afghan is coming right along and is going to be another lovely addition to you collection.
Have a great weekend ~ FlowerLady
Looks like you are having lots of fun in the snow. I do love your crocheting! I want to get started on my mood afghan too! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYou guys make great snowmen! And you are right, it has to be just perfect, not too wet.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I binged on 'Chuck' last night. Just what is needed after a long, long week.
What a ginormous, fantastic snowman!! I KNOW how heavy those three body snowballs are...it's an amazing workout pushing them around to pack the snow on and make them as fat as possible! And the carrot nose is perfect, nice and pointed :-) And I doubt that any man or boy can resist putting a baseball cap on top...ha! I don't guess that your family from South Africa is used to this weather, but I'll bet they're having fun with it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a fun snow day!! :) Always love your beautiful photos... my husband just bought me a 50mm f/1.8G lens and I have to say, i'm loving it!!! :) Hope your neck feels better soon, Sandra! (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are enjoying your new home and the weather relief of the heat.
ReplyDeleteJust love the snow. I'm so jealous. Send me some please!
