{ October 2nd - Blogtober 2018 }
Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog :)
First I want to congratulate myself for actually sticking to and blogging, for the whole month of September. I didn't think that I would be able to do it, if I'm to be honest with you. I've tried before to get back into blogging and it didn't work, and I think it didn't work because it wasn't meant to and I wasn't in the right frame of mind....so to speak.
I'm so happy and proud of myself for not falling off the wagon though :)
And since I've been daily blogging, it has made me fall in love with my blog all over again, which means, I don't want to stop blogging or go long periods of time again without posting. I'm sure I'll be able to stick with it, but just in case I don't, I have given myself another goal and that is to do a Blogtober through every day this month.
I think sometimes it's easier if we give ourselves a goal to stick to or something to motivate us to keep going, so Blogtober it is. If you watch Youtube vlogs then you know that this month Vlogtober is going on where vloggers upload a video every single day, and then there's others that do it in November, and then again one of the biggest and most popular times is December with the Vlogmas.
But anyway, yes I'm going to be blogging more....YAY!!!
My spiritual journey to be closer to God, is continuing and I'm now at a point where I feel like I can't get enough of His word. There's all these awesome books, devotionals, sermons and messages and bible studies and I feel like there's not enough hours in the day to get to everything, but I still can't stop and I don't want to stop, obviously.
It's such an amazing feeling, to not feel anxiety, or worry, or fear and just live comfortably knowing that no matter what comes our way, we will be just fine. :)
My Ubuntu CAL is coming along. I am not going to be ready for Part 4 tomorrow, let me just throw that out there, but I am not letting that discourage me, I'll work as I can and trot along. Above is the first diamond that I completed for Part 3.
Below? The other awaiting completion.
They won't take long to do, this last Part was quite quick with only 4 rows and pretty easy, basic stitches, so tomorrow when I have some down time, I'll get going with the rest.
I also received two more books in the mail, for upcoming reviews. I'm quite interested in reading Lifesaving for Beginners, because it focuses on grief and losing someone you love, and with having just lost my sweet grandma back in July, it will certainly come handy.
Last night for dinner, I made Ono's Hawaiian Grilled Chicken.
When we were stationed in Arizona, one of our absolutely favorite places to eat, was Ono Hawaiian BBQ. They had some of the best food EVER, I especially loved their Island Chicken Curry, though I've noticed that lately it doesn't show up on their menu, maybe they no longer make it. But, the sad thing is that there is no Ono's anywhere near us, or in this State even, closest is Arizona, so I guess we are going to have to make a plan to go back on vacation.
I'll have the recipe up on the food blog tomorrow :)
Other than that, the past few weeks have proven to be a bit of a mess, seems that a few things have gone wrong, the car broke, the mower needed new blades AND a belt, my washer is falling apart (which is no shock because I've had it for about 15 years, no joke) and then yesterday, our electric company decided to change our plan without our consent and then presented us with a $400 bill.
I about fell over.
We've been able to get it sorted out with them and reverted back to the plan we JUST renewed back in June, but we are still going to have to pay $300.
I'm not panicking, I'm not worrying, because I know that we will have the money to pay that bill, and the car repairs and whatever else comes our way, God has always provided in moments like these, and He will be there again.
So yeah, it's been a crazy past few days, but we're in October folks, and hopefully the cooler temps will arrive soon and the leaves will start turning and this little bump in the road will be a thing of the past.
I hope you've been enjoying my daily blogging, I know that it's mainly my online journal and I really do blog for myself and to have a place for all the memories, but I so enjoy the comments and the sweet friends I've made over the years, so thank you for always coming by to say hi. I suck at returning the comments but I'm hoping to get better at that.
Well, I'm off to read a little before bed.
Oh and if any one else out there is blogging every day in October, let me know in the comments down below, I would love to come follow along :)
I'll be blogging in October - I've been out of the groove for some time and thankful to be back.
