Happy Homemaker Monday - 06/24/2024

Good morning sweet ladies, welcome back to my blog. ♥

Here we are, the last Happy Homemaker Monday of June, can you believe that?

I am a little late putting this up, well, late for my usual posting I should say.  But I had to take some treats out to the chickens, refill their water and food and give them some love.  I need to get busy with my homemaking but that can wait until this goes up.

I want to apologize for the confusion that Mister Linky caused last week, I didn't realize it would be such a hassle to do the thumbnail linkies, I did however go back and fixed it, and added all the links by hand.  Sorry again about that.  Sometimes you try to make things easier and they just become more complicated.

Anyway, it is a beautiful day here in Texas and I have a full day of homemaking ahead of me.  I'm actually looking forward to pottering around my house, I know some may find that strange, but I truly truly love being a homemaker and thing it a blessing to do what I do.  I hope all you homemakers out there realize just how important your jobs are and what a blessing you are to God.
Have a blessed week my friends!

Sandra

*** The Weather ***
Humid and hot and triple digits, and I'm so over it.  The older I get, the less I enjoy heat.  This week?  Hot, hot and more hot.  Ugh!

Monday - Heat advisory, 100
Tuesday - Mostly sunny, 101
Wednesday - Sunny, 103
Thursday - Mostly sunny, 103
Friday- Sunny,104
Saturday - Mostly sunny, 102
Sunday - Partly cloudy, 99

*** Right now I am ***
Sitting at my desk, the window air conditioner is on as my bedroom gets super hot in the summer.  I'm listening to Julie Green on the TV, and the furry babies are sleeping, Elliott is at my feet and Kaia is on the bed.

*** Thinking and pondering ***
Nothing specific, just a list of what I need to do that is circling around in my brain.  I need to put it on paper so I don't forget what I want to do.

*** How I am feeling ***
Sore......Curt and I did a 2 hour workout session yesterday.  We were at the gym for an hour, then did another hour at the base track just walking.  The abs machine killed me though, I am so sore today, so it's a rest day for me.

*** On the breakfast plate ***
Cup of coffee with 2% milk, Keto Waffle.  1 egg, 1/4 cup shredded cheese.  Mix well, then pour half into a mini waffle maker, cook until done, then pour the other half in and cook as well.  You can eat as they are, or you can even place a slice of ham between them and make a sandwich.  It's a great breakfast and quick to throw together too.

*** On the lunch plate ***
Tuna Salad - lettuce, tomato, onion, greek olives, greek salad dressing, boiled egg and tuna.

*** On the dinner plate ***
Francezinhas - Portuguese Meat Sandwich with Fries.

*** On the menu ***

*** What I am wearing ***
Summer dress, got it from Shein and it's so comfy and cute too.  It's this one.

*** On my reading pile ***
Book of Esther
The Lady in the Tower by Alison Weir

*** On my TV this week ***
Youtube - Brazilian and Portuguese Homemaking Vlogs, Slow Living and Quiet Vlogs
Turkish shows - Vuslat

*** Looking around the house ***
The Euro Cup 2024 has started, along with the Copa America.  I'm talking about soccer, sorry hahahah

I love soccer (football as I know it), so it's always exciting when this time of the year comes around.  We watched all the games yesterday, so we moved some of the couches around to face the TV better, and also ordered pizza and just chilled.  Of course that means that I need to set the house back to order this morning, so that is what is waiting for me.

*** To do list ***
Blog post for tomorrow
Bible and Devotional time
Workout
Homemaking
Make sauce for tonight's dinner

*** From the camera ***
Digging into the archives to pull out this picture from June of 2014.  We had just moved into our new home in Mountain Home, Idaho.  I loved that house, it was a bit tight for us, but I just really loved everything about it.  If you were following me back then, you probably recall me calling it my Amish home, because the outside kind of reminded me of an Amish house.

*** Devotional, Prayers, Bible Verses ***

Love that dress. Have you bought much from them? Good quality.

The heat is surely a mess all over the world seems and we're just into summer.

Take care and happy puttering or pottering as you call it.
