About the book:
Who They Are and How They Help–What the Bible Reveals…
What are angels? What is their role in God’s plan? Are they present? Do they appear? Do they give us personal insight about our work, our worship?
Many contemporary beliefs about angels are based on misconception and myth. Dr. David Jeremiah uses scripture to unveil the remarkable truth about these agents of heaven, and their role and work in our world—and lives.
Author:
Dr. David Jeremiah is senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego, and founder of Turning Point Radio and TV Ministries. His radio program is carried on over 2,500 stations worldwide, while the TV broadcast is received by 500 million homes via cable and satellite. The recipient of numerous awards for broadcast excellence, his books have garnered Gold Medallion awards and become bestsellers with The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and the New York Times. He is a sought-after conference speaker by organizations nationwide.
My thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book, at first I thought, well it's just another book about Angels and I've read quite a few, what exactly could it tell me that I don't already know?
Was I in for a surprise, I've learned so much about Angels, who they are, what they signify and most importantly there is scripture after scripture explaining the presence of angels to angels carrying us to heaven after death. Very very interesting read.

I can tell you ANYTHING Dr. Jeremiah writes is GOOD!! His radio program is great too. He is one of my favorite pastors & authors. I have met him & he is a very kind & gentle person.....very GOD wise! I have "What the Bible says ABout Angels", I am sure it is much the same since he wrote it.
ReplyDeleteI am a true believer in Angels.. when my children were small and even today when they are adults I pray for them to be surrounded by Angels and kept safe. The song I sang to them at bedtime asked that Angels would be around their beds.. What's kind of weird is that we got a dog a few years back who was already named..and of course her name is Angel. I'd love to read this book.. my email is mroyston1@msn.com

Sandra,
ReplyDeleteThis was a great book and I've learned so many things I didn't know. The best part about it was that it is completely scripture based.

This is my first visit to your blog. I have never read any books on angels but will check my library later today. Also I have never read Jane Austin. Wondering where to start with that. I will enjoy browsing your blog because it has a different look than any other I've been to...plus you like ME (Mary Engelbreit!)
