{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 08/07/2017 }

Good morning and Happy Monday to you all :)

I'm sorry there have been no blog posts from me the past 3 days or so, I've been super busy and haven't had a chance to come around, but I think I took a few pics here and there and will share those later.

This is our last week before school starts, so we're going to enjoy it as much as we can.  Have your schools started back up yet?

The weather:::
Hot and humid is pretty much the way to describe the weather in Texas.  We had some crazy storms last night and are supposed to have more rain today and later in the week as well.

Right now I am:::
Sitting on the couch and typing up this post.  Hubby just left for work, and I'm enjoying my cup of coffee and typing up this post.

On my reading pile:::
Currently reading The Dress in the Window.

Movies or Shows I watched this weekend:::
I haven't had a chance to watch much of anything this weekend, just been so busy.  The times I've been able to have something going while I work, I've had the laptop on Youtube and watched some My Ghost Story or Paranormal Survivor.

On my TV:::
General Hospital
American Ripper
ID Discovery Channel

On the menu for this week:::

Monday
Beef Bulgogi with Rice
Tuesday
Bratwurst Hoagies with Mac and Cheese
Wednesday
Fettucine Alfredo
Thursday
My Birthday - Pork Tenderloin, Butter and Garlic Spaghetti noodles, Broccoli
Friday
Pork Chops with Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans
Saturday
My wedding anniversary - Out to dinner
Sunday
Crockpot Grinders

On my to do list:::
Kitchen......Usual clean up.  Empty the dishwasher, wash breakfast dishes.  Mop.
Laundry.....All done.
House......Just need to dust.  I had family over for dinner yesterday so gave the house a good cleaning earlier.

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
I've been working on my Mandala Madness.  Finished Part 11 and am on the last row of Part 12.  I really want to get this blanket finished and put away, it's been months now.  I'm also behind on the Atlanticus.  I'm still on Part 9 and Part 11 has already been released.  Going to try and get that one finished as well.

Got my Pondoland Square and my Sweet Caroline pillows done but need to sew them onto the pillows, so want that done this week as well.

Looking around the house:::
Clean, tidy.  It's really dark in here today as we've had storms and are waiting for more rain to arrive.  It's dark and cloudy outside, so I think I'll be burning some candles today.

From the camera:::
Part 11 of the Mandala Madness complete

What I'm wearing today:::
Still in my nightgown, but I think it's a sweat pants and tshirt kinda day.

One of my simple pleasures:::
Doing yard work with my husband.  As hard as it is, we enjoy working together.

Inspirational Quote, Bible verse, anything you want to share:::

Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary!!!
School hasn't started here yet. I go back on August 28th and I'm not sure of the start date for my daughter but we haven't gotten her textbooks yet so I feel safe.
