Checking in.....

Money TreeHello friends, I thought I would come in and check in with everyone and say hi and just do a very simple life post that is not directly related to the Blogmas.

I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying Blogmas though, oh  my goodness, so much fun and I've decided to make it a yearly thing because really, I don't know if I can go another holiday season without this much fun.

I have met such wonderful ladies, have enjoyed reading and commenting and I'm sure I've found some very cool blogs to follow even after this is all done.

But yeah, I just wanted to come in and say hi and let you know what I've been up to.

We are finishing schooling right now, the first semester is quickly approaching and we need to get everything done and turned in.  The boys are not that bad but the girls, oh my gosh, the high school work load is really getting to them and they have quite a few overdue lessons which they're desperately trying to catch up with.  I think they may be working through the Christmas break if they can't catch up within the next two weeks....yikes!

Storm moving in

The weather here has been quite nice the past two weeks or so, there have been a few sprinkles here and there but nothing major and it's only really nippy in the early morning or late night.  We did have a bit of a storm move on in this afternoon, but so far nothing has materialized, so I'm not sure if we are getting rain tomorrow or maybe nothing will happen, who knows right?

I'm enjoying a ton of vlogs on youtube, I take my hats off to the ladies who manage to do this on a daily basis, I don't think I could, not only am I not comfortable being in front of the camera but to have to haul that around and in my face all day long, I believe would drive me quite bananas.  But I do enjoy watching everyone elses.  I think once the holidays have calmed down I will come in and do a post with my favorite vloggers, there are some amazing ones out there.

Snow Tree
I've been reading Little Women and I also started a Wanda E. Brunstetter Amish book which I am thoroughly enjoying.  Every time I read an amish book of any kind I feel so drawn to that simplistic way of life and just want to be that way.  Truthfully, it won't ever happen, but I guess I can dream right?

My husband and I are still watching Star Trek The Next Generation.  I can't help it, I'm a huge Scifi nerd and love every single Star Trek series out there.  Since Netflix added Season 3 of American Horror Story to the lineup, hubby and I will also be watching that one, we watched quite a few episodes but never got to finish, so we want to finish that one and then start on the Freak Show, which I've heard is quite......freaky?  Hahaha

I've been baking up a storm, a little of this and a little of that and have a few things I still want to get around to baking, but not sure if I will, to be completely honestly I am quite sick of sweets already.  Then again I can always send them to my brother and sister in law and they can even take them to work with them if they wish, so it's not like food will go to waste.

I am so exhausted today, didn't sleep well and then Miss Bella woke us up a few times and then hubby was up at 5:30am and when he leaves the house I may as well get up because the pugs won't go back to sleep and are quite annoying.  So yeah, I am very ready for bed tonight. Lots of coffee is what kept me going today.

Afternoon coffee

Yeah, not too much going on.  Oh I got my results from my girlie appointment a few weeks ago and everything is fine and came back normal, I am one happy girl.  Though coming up in January I have to get the mammogram booked and I'm totally not looking forward to that, but it's got to be done.

Right, I have to get some shoes on and a coat, we are popping over to my brother's house for a cup of coffee and a quick hello, then have to stop at Walmart for some gift cards and more Christmas cards.  I'm hoping to come home early and get some rest, but hubby wants to catch up on Supernatural, Agents of Shield and Flash from the past 2 or 3 weeks.  I said ok, though I think I may conk out after the first episode, heck I may conk out DURING the first episode.  Hahahah

Anyway, hope you enjoyed my little chit chat, and I do hope you are all doing well and staying warm tonight.

I will see you all tomorrow for our Day 11 of Blogmas, and I think tomorrow we're sharing what is on the Christmas menu for this year.  Can't wait :)

Goodnight my friends,
Sandra

The weather has been pretty good here too, a little freezing rain yesterday but it melted quickly and the sun shone today. I was finishing up my shopping today and was thankful for good roads.
I've been crazy busy with wrapping and doing some photo books, plus trying to keep up with wedding planning, so I've been bad at commenting. Just wanted to say hi!

Lovely to catch up with your day to day goings on. It sounds as though you are a very busy lady right now, so I think that falling asleep watching TV sounds like a great idea!! xx

Sandra! Good catching up with you! I am glad you have decided to make this a yearly thing!! I have also had so much FUN writing my posts and reading others'...my problem is - I keep forgetting to come back here and put my link!! I don't think I missed many days; but having a daily "prompt" encourages me to write something every day...thank you!!!

Thank goodness for prayers answered and everything being ok with your check up.

I don't watch vlogs much, but I'm with you. I could never be comfortable being on camera all the time like that - ugh!!

The weather here is supposed to get really mild this weekend - 40's and rain!! It will probably melt all of our snow. Weird for here this time of year.

God bless sweet Lady! xo

I had such great intentions of joining in the Blogmas and then got good and sick so blogging just hasn't been on my radar at all this month. The weather here is unreal right now. Really warm.
