{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 02/15/2021 }

Good morning friends, and a very happy Monday to you all. :)

Putting this one up a little later than usual, apologies for that, so let's get right into it.
Hope you all have a blessed week ahead.

♥♥The Weather♥♥
Oh my goodness, the weather.  We got hit with a crazy winter storm, the likes of which haven't been seen around here.  They called it a historic winter storm and it set a record for our State.  Things got pretty crazy yesterday but thankfully, we didn't lose power and managed to ride it out.  I think there were 41 or so States getting this winter storm, how crazy is that?
Praying everyone stayed safe and warm.

Monday - Winter Storm Warning, Bitterly cold, High of 16
Tuesday -  PM snow, 21
Wednesday - AM snow, 25
Thursday -  Mostly sunny, 25
Friday - Mostly sunny, 35
Saturday -  Mostly sunny, 44
Sunday -  Mostly sunny, 54

♥♥How I am feeling this morning♥♥
Sciatica is a bit niggly this morning due to the snow and cold temperatures.  But, other than that I'm feeling good.

 ♥♥On the breakfast plate♥♥
Had a cup of coffee and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  Was going to make toast but I had made some sandwiches for the fridge, yesterday, so just grabbed one of those.

♥♥On my reading pile♥♥
Started Ezequiel in the Bible.
My daily devotional book.
Cilka's Journey
All Creatures Great and Small

 ♥♥On my tv♥♥
Portuguese Soaps, Bem Me Quer and Amor Amor
Brazilian show called Genesis, based on the book of Genesis in the Bible.
The Luminaries.

♥♥On the menu this week♥♥

Monday - Grilled Tuna Steaks, Garlic Parsley Potatoes, Roast Squash
Tuesday - Chicken and Black Bean Enchiladas, Spanish Rice
Wednesday - Ono's Hawaiian Chicken, Ono's Macaroni Salad
Thursday - Cheese Stuffed Meatloaf, Scalloped Potatoes, Baked Parmesan Zucchini
Saturday - Smokehouse Burgers, Potato Salad
Sunday - Bifes de Cebolada, Mashed Potatoes, Creamed Spinach

♥♥From the camera♥♥
I used to take so many bird photos, when we were stationed in Arizona.  It was one of my favorite things to do.  I would take my camera and the tripod, sit out back on the patio and just snap away.  I haven't done that in a long time, but these sweet birds were all just hanging on my fence, and I couldn't help grabbing the camera and taking this picture.
They've made me want to go back to taking photos of birds again.

♥♥Looking around the house♥♥
I need to carpet clean this week, with the going in and out of the house during the snow, my carpets are needing some cleaning.  I will do a spot cleaning in some areas, but will leave the big clean for later this week when the bad weather is gone, it is far too cold now and the carpets won't dry.

♥♥To relax this week, I will♥♥
Read and crochet.  I realize this doesn't change from week to week, but it is the one I choose to relax and it really does help me wind down.

♥♥Something I want to share♥♥
When I started sharing these videos from Youtube, my hope was that at least one of you would enjoy them as much as I do.  I never thought that so many would come to love these videos and look forward to them each week.
I guess in a way we are all looking for calm, simplicity and beauty in our lives.  So glad you're enjoying these as much as I am enjoying bringing them to you.

Todays is from a channel called ena_sukinakotoha.  Ena lives in Japan with her husband and she shares the most beautiful videos.  I usually turn on captions, but sometimes I don't and just let the video play as is, enjoying every second of it.

The video title is:  " Favorite storage basket / loofah scrubbing brush remake / chicken dish that can be used as a snack".

♥♥Devotional, inspirational, prayer list or Bible verse♥♥

Good morning dearest Gal! I pray everyone affected by that weather is okay. I'm so used to it - but I can only imagine what a shock it would be if you weren't. Love your photo! And of course I love the videos you share so much! I've subscribed to several now. 😉 Blessings to you xo

Glad you didn't lose power, saw that a whole lot of your state is without it this morning. This weather is something else isn't it? Love your bird photo, taking bird photos is one of my favorite things to do as well. Hope you have a safe, warm, and wonderful week!

I've been seeing in the news the winter weather conditions in parts of our country and can't believe it! Fortunately it hasn't hit us yet. We had one decent snow a couple of weeks ago and it was mostly melted by the afternoon. I love the bird photo. Do you know what kind of bird they are? They don't look like any I've seen around here. My children do a lot of bird watching for science and take pictures of the birds in our backyard. Have a great week, and I hope you stay warm and that your power stays on!
