I was so ready for today to come. Actually, I try not to think that next week is already Thanksgiving and I have so much to get done before then....but we'll skip that part and just concentrate on the here and now, and the fact that I'm thrilled it's Friday and this week is over.
I want to thank you all for the prayers and thoughts for my doctor's appointment, it went extremely well and I got a clean bill of health.
I do have to go for my first mammogram now that I am 40 years old, and I can tell you that I'm NOT looking forward to that, like, at all. It's not that I don't know what to expect, because I do, had one done at 18 years old because of a lump on my breast, which turned out to be just fibrous and disappeared within a few weeks.
Anyway, yeah, I am going to be making the appointment and getting mine done the beginning of the year. Oh goodness, I so don't want to, but I am also the type that knows these appointments are important so I just suck it up and get it done. It's necessary :)
Been waking up every morning to very foggy weather and oh so cold. Can you believe that the snow from last week is still laying around? Geez!
There are also thousands of icicles throughout the town, every single house has them, cars are driving around with them hanging from the bottom and it's just an icy mess out there. This part of the cold weather, I don't like. Either snow, or not, but the icy slippery stuff is not what I call fun.
Started my morning with a nice cup of coffee, is there any other way to wake up? I don't think so, matter of fact I don't think I'm fully awake until that very first sip.
I usually sit at my kitchen table and sip my coffee while watching the movement outside, the fog rolling in, the cars driving by and the sun trying to peek out through the clouds.
I've been so busy the past week, school is starting to wind down for the winter break so we are working hard on our lessons, we've had a birthday and Tae Kwon Do, and late night run to the Dollar Store because I forgot to buy my dishwasher detergent, doctor's appointment and preparing for Thanksgiving.
Knackered I tell you, and so ready to just sleep early and wake up late this weekend.
There have been afternoon latte breaks while checking out the mail, lots of reviews coming up, they always seem to amp up during the holiday season, so there are a few to look forward to next week. Jamberry Nails, Lucky Leaf, Leafware.
Someone has been so cold and shivery that she seems to be in a cold induced coma. She makes me laugh with her sleepy droopy eyes. I've given her a blanket just for herself, and even though she wears her little sweater she still snuggles under the blanket for long afternoon naps.
And at the end of every crazy busy day, there is a crackling fire to keep us warm and to help us wind down for the evening.
So yeah, looking forward to this weekend and actually looking forward to next week. My husband is on Thanksgiving break from college and we'll be taking a break too from school, so lots of family time, good eating and gearing up for Christmas.
I am so excited for it this year, I don't know why, but I am counting down the days until the 1st of December so that I can go and get my tree. Yay!
Well friends, I am going to take some Motrin as I'm a little bit sore today and have a pounding headache, and then I'm actually going to call it a night.
Hope you've all had a good productive week and are looking forward to some rest as much as I am.
See you all in the morning :)

ClickRoastDeliver.com - Coffee Review AND 20% Off Coupon
Who loves coffee as much as I do? Raise your hand, but raise it way up high so I can see.
Aaahhhhh I see many of you do. But if you're anything like me, it's hard to find that good coffee sometimes, the one that you really enjoy and don't mind paying a little bit more for it, because you know that in the end it is well worth it.
I was contacted by the folks over at ClickRoastDeliver and asked if I would like to try their website. They are a small independently owned upstart company in Seattle.
So what exactly do they do? Well simple.....
CRD have partnered with some of their favorite local third-wave coffee roasters to put good, fresh-roasted coffee into the hands of the consumer. Currently they are working with 8 roasters, based in Seattle and on the West-Coast, and are looking to gradually expand their partnerships with roasters all over the country.
An order, once placed on the CRD website, is immediately sent to the roaster, who then roasts the beans, and ships directly to the consumer. Through this process, the coffee received by the consumer is usually even fresher than the beans available in the roasters own shops.
CRD's mission is to support the local roasters that they love (and the coffee that we drink!) and they want to introduce these coffees to as many people as possible.
Look, I am a huge coffee lover and a bit of a snob. I don't like coffee that is bitter, I like one that I can drink even without sugar or milk. If it's smooth and tastes good, I'm in coffee heaven.
But what I was really trying out was the ClickRoastDeliver website. I was curious as to how long it would take for the whole ordering process to go through and then how long it would be before I received my coffee in the mail.
It was such a quick process, the longest honestly was me trying to decide which coffee to order. I decided to go with the Victrola and boy am I glad I did, it is delicious and I'm really enjoying it.
I went in, picked the coffee I wanted, quickly entered in my information and hit order.
I am not even kidding you when I tell you that I placed the order on a Wednesday, and by Friday morning my coffee was in the mailbox. I mean, THAT quick.
Something else I noticed, the minute I opened the envelope it came in, the most amazing glorious coffee scent wafted out. It smelled like it had just finished roasting. *drool*
I don't think I've ever come across a site that shipped so fast and with such delicious coffee. I'm sold, honestly!
Here's the best part, they kindly offered a 20% discount for my readers, when you order your coffee through their website, just enter CRD20 at checkout. It is good for one use per person.
Go on and give it a try, you may just find your favorite coffee already listed or you may come to find a new favorite. I know I'm enjoying the Victrola!
Busy Busy Week!
I was doing so well, updating every single day and then this week came along and I've been so busy I haven't quite had the time to come in and do anything.
It's just been one of those weeks for me. Matter of fact, I haven't even cooked dinner the past two nights.
Tuesday night my husband was in the mood for frozen pizza and on his way home from work, picked two up, so no cooking for me.
Last night we went out to dinner to celebrate my niece's birthday.
This little girl is now 18 years old. Or so it seems, because in my eyes and I'm sure her mom's and dad's, she will always be that cute little 1 year old running around with her Teletubbies doll.
Just another reminder that time really does fly and before we know it, the kids are all grown up. I'm not looking forward to my own children reaching that age so fast, I want to keep them little for as long as I can.
The weather here has been downright pitiful, cold, so very cold and foggy. We were sitting at 7 degrees yesterday, and I mean 7 degrees Fahrenheit which means -13 in Celsius. I am quite ready to hibernate somewhere nice and warm and only pop back out in a few months.
Our mornings now look like this, and I don't know about you, but for me it doesn't really scream get up and go, more like lay back down and hide. But go we must, and get up we have to, grudgingly, but we do.
I'm making this post super short today, I haven't taken many photos the past two days, like I said I have been so busy.
I'm going to finish this big cup of coffee.....
Give Instagram a quick browse through and then I have to get my housework started. Start the laundry, do the dishes, sweep and mop the living room etc.
I have a doctors appointment this afternoon, you know ladies, the appointment we always love going to?????
Yes that one.
I would appreciate some prayers, I have some issues going on and need to get it all checked out, but aside from that I am always so nervous when I have to go to that yearly appointment that it actually makes me sick to my stomach. Ugh!!!
So yeah, prayers for everything to be fine, and for me to have the courage to get it over and done with.
I will try to pop back in later, may take some photos of my day as it goes, and have a quick chat tonight with you all. For now though, I really do need to get my butt in gear and get moving.

Blogmas 2014 - The 25 Days of Christmas
Hello my friends!
So I'm coming in today to talk to you about the month of December and Blogmas. I know that Vlogmas is a huge thing on Youtube, but I don't vlog, I don't really like being on camera, and so I thought I would do a Blogmas this year.
It will be my first ever Blogmas and I'm quite excited to do it. At first I thought I would leave it up in the air and just post whatever I came up with that day, but after thinking about it a little more, I decided that having topics would be better so that I don't draw a blank.
I sat down this morning and compiled a list from 1 to 25 with different topics for each day, with each one relating to Christmas and the holiday season.
If you want to join in, just save the above list to your computer and follow each day's prompt. So number 1 on the list will be December 1st and so on.
I'm really looking forward to sharing our traditions, our tree, our food and all our Christmas memories and preparations during the next month.
If you want to join in, let me know and I'll put up a Mr. Linky every day :)
There really aren't many rules to participate, all I ask is that you don't change any of the topics and stick to the list, otherwise, well, it wouldn't be my list LOL
Even if no one joins in, I just wanted to put up this post and let you all know what to expect for the month of December.
Buttons for every day.....feel free to use!

Happy Homemaker Monday - 11/17/2014
Good morning everyone, hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I enjoyed mine but honestly would have been happier with some extra hours, or maybe we need a day between Saturday and Sunday? A Saday, or a Satsun?
Oh well, nothing we can do to change it now and here we are, the beginning of yet another week, let's see what it holds for us shall we?
Cleaning....In the kitchen, Unload the dishwasher and reload with breakfast dishes, sweep and mop. Water the plants in the window will.
In the living room....Had to remove the rug to the garage, we got back from my brothers and Miss Bella had peed all over it. It smells so bad. I am going to vacuum it and carpet clean it in the garage before bringing it back into the house. Dust and tidy up a bit.
In the bedrooms....make the beds, pick up and tidy up, open curtains and blinds and windows to let in some fresh air. Vacuum.
In the bathrooms....clean the toilets, sinks and mirrors.
Homeschooling....prepare the lessons, both girls have quite a bit of work to catch up on.
Crocheting....Still have so many WIP'S. This morning though, as soon as I am done with housework I have to get the 3 scarves made for the giveaway winners. I didn't want to make them earlier because they would have been grabbed by someone and used. lol
Cooking.....for lunch I'm making some Grilled Cheese and Tomato Sandwiches, and Dinner will be a Slow Cooked Pea and Ham soup, will also have sandwiches or yogurt and fruit.
Doing the Glimpsing Heaven Review today, so stay tuned for that.
Not really sure what I'll watch today, but I might actually do a Christmas movie, it's that time of year for me when I start watching them.
Tuesday - Sausage, Broccoli Fettucine Alfredo, Salad
Wednesday - Spring Chicken, Steamed Broccoli
Thursday - Chicken Korma Curry with Rice
Friday - Homemade Pizza
Saturday - Bacon Spaghetti, Salad
Sunday - Cottage Pie, Mixed Veg
Prayers, Inspirational Quotes or Devotionals::::
PLEASE, don't add links to this list that are not part of the Happy Homemaker Monday. I've asked numerous times, and I'm frankly quite tired of having to remove links to other posts that shouldn't be in this list. Please be respectful of my request!

Oh well, nothing we can do to change it now and here we are, the beginning of yet another week, let's see what it holds for us shall we?
The weather outside is::::
8 degrees and the weather app says that it feels like -1. I concur, it feels like that and much more. I am beyond frozen at this point, not even the central heating is warming this house up yet. We are looking at much of the same for the rest of the week, so a very cold one indeed.
On the breakfast plate this morning::::
Right now I am drinking a huge cup of coffee with some Snickerdoodle Creamer (I do like this one). Not ready for breakfast yet, but when I do have it, I am thinking toast and eggs.
As I look outside my window:::
Blue skies, but everything is still white. The snow hasn't melted and matter of fact, with this cold temperature, all the houses and cars are sporting beautiful icicles.
Right now I am::::
Sitting on my couch with Lola sleeping up against me. Typing up this post, thinking of what I have to do today and trying to stay warm. Oh and I'm still in my jammies, I can't bring myself to change out of them just yet, I'm too cold.
As I look around the house::::
My kitchen is in disarray from the weekend. I don't know why everyone continues to use my counter space as their personal storage, drives me bananas. The living room needs some tidying up too. I need to open the blinds in the living room because it looks so dark and makes the house look very gloomy.
On today's to do list::::
Laundry....Have 1 load of towels and blankets to wash.....and one load to iron.Cleaning....In the kitchen, Unload the dishwasher and reload with breakfast dishes, sweep and mop.

Currently reading::::
Still reading my Diana Gabaldon Outlander series.Doing the Glimpsing Heaven Review today, so stay tuned for that.
On the TV today::::
My Downton Abbey is finished and I'm shattered, what am I going to do until the Christmas episode?Not really sure what I'll watch today, but I might actually do a Christmas movie, it's that time of year for me when I start watching them.
