A mother who cannot face her future.
THEIR ELUSIVE ENEMIES TOOK EVERYTHING. NOW THEY WANT MORE.
Crossroads Crisis Center owner Benjamin Brandt was a content man—in his faith, his work, and his family. Then in a flash, everything he loved was snatched away. His wife and son were murdered, and grief-stricken Ben lost faith. Determination to find their killers keeps him going, but after three years of dead ends and torment, his hope is dying too. Why had he survived? He’d failed to protect his family.
Now, a mysterious woman appears at Crossroads seeking answers and help—a victim who eerily resembles Ben’s deceased wife, Susan. A woman robbed of her identity, her life, of everything except her faith—and Susan’s necklace.
The connections between the two women mount, exceeding coincidence, and to keep the truth hidden, someone is willing to kill. Finding out who and why turns Ben and the mystery woman’s situation from dangerous to deadly. Their only hope for survival is to work together, trust each other, and face whatever they discover head on, no matter how painful. But will that be enough to save their lives and heal their tattered hearts?

My thoughts:
Oooh this was a tough one for me, I wanted to do it justice and stick with it until the end, and I did. My problem is that for starters, I'm not a fan of suspense/thriller books so that right there was already counting against me, the other problem I found was that it was just a little too confusing for me, there were way too many characters and I found myself having a hard time keeping track of everyone and what they were doing.
It's a good book for those who like this kind of genre, but unfortunately I wasn't very thrilled with it, nonetheless I think the author did a great job and is a wonderful writer, just wasn't my cup of tea.
The wonderful folks over at Waterbrook Multnomah provided a free copy to giveaway, so if you're in the mood for a good suspenseful read, then this is the book for you.

I love this genre. Going to visit the authors website now--I will be looking for her books at the library too. Thanks for the info.
My Oldest Girl loves this kind of genre. I hummed and hawwed about reviewing it but finally passed it up because it's not really my genre and I knew I'd have a rough time getting through it. But my girl would love it. Thanks for the giveaway!

You know, I generally don't do suspense. At all. If I read this book I bet it would freak me out the whole time. :|
I'm having an exciting time reading Here Burns My Candle - which was one you had on your blog a while back. Unfortunately we aren't in a position for me to buy a bunch of books, so I had to wait for the library to get it. Happily, I put in a request before they got them in, and I was the first one to get it!! Lucky me! :):)
