{ What a week it's been }

I really don't want to come in and whine and moan and complain.  It's just been one of those weeks, bad weather, a lot of driving around and dealing with horrible allergies that have decided to attack my right ear.  Last year I got fluid in both years from the allergies, right around this time as well.

3 week ago, I started struggling with the allergies again, getting bad bouts that would leave me coughing and losing my voice.  A week after that started, my right ear became muffled and felt like I couldn't get it to pop.  A week after that, I had put some olive oil and tea tree oil in, as advised by some people, and two days after that I started getting the ringing in my ear.

It's now been 4 days of the non stop low buzzing in my right ear, the ear is still muffled, and I'm about to rip my head off with this nonsense.

I am giving this until this weekend, and if it's not getting better, I'm making an appointment for the doctor next week.  I just can not handle this clogged ear and ringing feeling.  I don't have pain, I do have itching inside the ear, so I'm starting to think that it's developing from fluid into an infection and it's time to nip this in the butt.

In the meantime, this has made me appreciate my poor husband who suffers with Tinnitus brought on from 22 years of working around jets, and all the other millions of Tinnitus sufferers in the world.  It's absolutely annoying.

Anyway, I have been taking random pictures the past few days, as I go about my housework.  I miss blogging consistently, I was doing so well until February and then it started going downhill and now I'm finding myself struggling a bit to stay on top of it.

And to be honest, this ear thing the past 3 weeks has been frustrating me and I find that when I have some downtime I'm laying down, which seems to be the only way the ringing subsides.

Most mornings, I'm in the kitchen preparing Curt and Jasmine's lunches.  I also take this time to watch my sermons.  It's quiet, and I'm able to pay attention and really spend time with God, take in His word and not be distracted by other things around me.

Once that is done, I sit at the dining table with my breakfast, continue watching the sermons and take notes.  I have a notebook specifically for that, I like listening and jotting down anything that jumps out at me, it's amazing just how many things seem to be exactly what I needed to hear at the moment.

Once breakfast is done and the sermon is over, I move on with the rest of my day.  Usually the first thing on the agenda is the kitchen, and I'll unloaded the disher, refill it, wipe down the counters, sweep and mop etc.

On this specific day I got busy with some food prep for the rest of the week.  I had 3 avocados that needed using up, so I made some guacamole.  Had some with my lunch and then we used the rest for our Steak Fajitas that night.

I also whipped up a crab salad.  Nick loves crab salad and so do I.  We will use it for sandwiches, or I'll boil some potatoes and mix it in, or I'll pop it over lettuce as well.

Next on the list, I had bananas that also needed to be used up, so I made a batch of the banana chocolate chip muffins and a banana cake with caramel icing.

While I was busy in the kitchen, I threw some ingredients in the breadmaker, for some Portuguese Milk Bread rolls.

I got a load of laundry ironed and put away.  I often giggle because I have friends who can't stand doing ironing, and yet I love every minute of it.  I find it very relaxing, I just put on something on the TV, pull the ironing board close and just get it all done.

And finally, I pulled out my crochet hooks and yarns, to start working on some Spring time decorations for the house.  That's the first tulip of my tulip bouquet that I plant on making.  They're very easy to make and I think the finished result is gorgeous.  I can't wait to see the full bouquet done.

And that my friends, is basically what my past few days have consisted of.

Lots of driving back and forth to drop and pick up Jasmine.  Lots of schoolwork with Nick, this dratted annoying ear situation, crazy storms, super high winds that have thrown stuff around all over the property, and trying to watch some TV when I get a chance.

That's life though isn't it?

Sometimes exciting, other times frustrating, some ups and some downs.  We're all out here just trying to do our best and live our lives.

My husband also reminded me the other day that it had been well over a month or maybe two, since I stopped going to Facebook.  I couldn't believe it.

Over the years I've tried to break the habit but always found myself going back, this time though, I haven't missed it, I don't even think about it at all, it's like Facebook doesn't exist for me....and it's been pure joy, let me tell you.

I don't miss the bullying, the fighting, the same things over and over, and the drama.  I'm much happier away from it.  Thank the Lord.

Anyway, I need to get ready to go pick Jasmine up from work, so I better skidaddle on out of here.

I do hope you're all having a wonderful week so far, can you believe that we are almost at the weekend again?
